part 3 (last)

(You bias) gripped your hand tightly and stared into your eyes, his chest rising and lowering. Normally this would make you nervous and blush, but this time, you were mad. You wanted to scream. You wanted to slap (your bias) in the face. You wanted to cry. You wanted to rip your hair out. "What is there to explain? I'm pretty sure I have a good idea about what's going on," you said in the coldest tone you could muster. (Your bias) shook his head. "No. No, you don't. I'm positive you have a misunderstanding." "WHAT IS THERE TO MISUNDERSTAND?? YOU DONT LIKE ME. IM A BOTHER. THATS WHY YOU MOVED HERE AND GOT MARRIED. OKAY I GET IT. STORY OVER!!" you screamed. He pulled you into a hug. You could feel his beating heart against your chest. "Calm down.. please. I'm going to explain everthing," he said in a soothing voice. You rested your head on his shoulder. (Your bias) ran his hand through your hair.

"So what happened is.. where do I even start?.. Okay how about this, you know how my dad passed away right?" he began. You nodded. "My mom is in her last stage of thyroid cancer. She was in the States for some business when she was diagnosed, but it was already too late. The doctor said she only has half a year left. Her last wish was to me was for me to get married to (random name) right away so I didn't have a chance to explain everything to you. She was too weak to fly back to Korea so me and (random name) had to come here. I begged her to change her mind but she didn't. (Random name's) family owns (company) which is the largest IT company in Korea. My mom wanted me to marry her to have ties in order to help our company continue," he explained. You were confused. "What company? You never mentioned anything about your family owning a company?" you inquired. "Ohhh... right. It was one of those things I never really talked about," he laughed nervously, "my family may or may not own the second largest IT company in Korea." (Your bias) let out a weak laugh. "WHAT THE HELL WHY DIDNT YOU EVER TELL ME???" you yelled. "I was afraid you might think of me differently," he confessed. "You fool," you flicked him in the forhead, "I couldn't care less if you were a poor and homeless. It was your personality and what you were on the inside that made me fall in lo-" you paused mid-sentence, realizing what you just said. "Y-you're in love? With me?" (your bias) asked surprised. "No," you quickly denied. "Awhhh you're blushing," he teased. You cover your cheeks and turn away from him, "No I'm not!!" You slowly turned around to face him once again, "But let's suppose.. JUST SUPPOSE OKAY??.. that if I did love you.. What would you do?" you asked meekly. (Your bias) grabbed your waist and pulled you in closer. Your faces were 2 inches apart. Your eyes were wide, still overwhelmed by the situation. Then, he said in a husky voice, "I would do this.." as he leaned in for a passionate kiss.

Your lips connected and sparks shot through your body. Your body relaxed instead of being tense like it had been. You pulled away. "I'm sorry (your bias). I can't do this. I'm happy you feel the same about me as I do you, I admit it. But this is wrong. I'm sorry," you said. (Your bias) raised his eyebrows, "I don't understand what you mean." "You're getting married today. Yes, I love you, but this is wrong. I respect your relationship. I know you'll be happy with (random name) and I'm glad she's able to help you with your company. I'm going to find a guy better than you. I'm going to forget you. I'm gonna make myself happy," you let out. "What relationship?" (your bias) asked, "I didn't even finish my explanation and you're already jumping to conclusions. What you don't understand is me and (random name) made a deal. We're gonna get 'married' to please my mom. I want her to go with an eased mind. I want her last moments to be happy. Once she passes, we are going to divorce." "What about your company?" you asked. "(Random name) agreed to help me with the company, since we were childhood friends anyways," he answered. "So please," (your bias) pleaded, "wait until the time comes. I PROMISE I'll come back for you."

"I don't know if I'm going to regret this or not," you pause, "but okay. You better make sure I don't feel like I'm wasting my time waiting for you." (Your bias) hugged you and spun you around. "I promise you won't!" he said with a wide smile. You laughed through tears, "You better get back to your wedding. You owe everyone an explanation." "Right," he began running back to the restaurant, but turned around, "YOU BETTER NOT FIND A BETTER GUY THAN ME.. BECAUSE YOU WONT ABLE TO!!" he reminded with a smirk.

*6 months later*

You spaced out, looking at nothing. Time passed by and you still had (your bias) on your mind. The last conversation you had was six months ago, the day of his "wedding". It replayed in your head.

Your mom knocked on your door, "Honey are sure you don't want to go?" Your parents were dressed in black attire, getting ready to go to (your bias') mother's funeral. You nodded your head. You couldn't go. You couldn't bear the thought. "Well we're going now and we're gonna go out to eat so we won't be back until later today. Yesterday's leftovers are in the fridge or order something if you don't want to eat that." You nodded again, fearing words would bring tears, since you were on the verge of breaking down anyways.

You had nothing to do, and you didn't feel that great either, so you decided to sleep it off.

You awoke to the sound of your phone buzzing. 'Incoming Call from (your bias)' You answered the call, "Hello?" you said hazily. "Come to the park," (your bias) said. With that said, he ended the call. You rolled out of bed and got ready. You didn't really want to put much effort into looking good, so you put on some joggers and a white basic tee.

You walk out of the house. It was around dusk. "I must have slept longer than I thought.." You made your way to the nearby park. By the time you got there, it had gotten dark. You noticed a light illuminating from a distance. "(Your bias)..?" you called out. Suddenly a figure appeared out of the shadows and covered your eyes. You let out a blood-curling scream. "Calm down, it's me," a voice whispered. You recognized that voice. It was (your bias). You were positive of it. "OH MY GOSH YOU NEARLY GAVE ME A HEART ATTACK!!" you yelled. (Your bias) chuckled, "I'm sorry."

Still having your eyes covered, (your bias) led you somewhere and stopped. He uncovered your eyes to reveal candles arranged in the words 'Will you marry me?' You cupped your hands over your mouth. Tears began to form in your eyes, but this time, they were happy tears. (Your bias) handed you roses he had behind his back. "This was the surprise I originally had in mind." You sobbed. It was overwhelming. A rush of anxiety raced through your body. "So (your full name), will you make me the luckiest man on the face of earth and marry me?" You let out a laugh, and through the tears and laughter you answered, "That's such a stupid question to ask," as you went on your tip-toes for a kiss.
