Chapter 9: Devil's Choir

The car ride with CC was full of talk and laughter. We decided to take advantage of the time and get to know each other. We finally reached Andy's house.

"Wait," CC had said as I stepped out of the car, "I want to ask you something."

He looked nervous, "Yeah sure. What's up?"

"Um," he stuttered nervously, "I was wondering. Since Ashley gave us his blessing. If you, uh, would go out with me?"

I tried to keep my excitement inside me and failed, "Oh my god! Yes! Yes! Yes! A thousand times yes! CC I love you!"

He looked shocked as I screamed then tackle hugged him. The door opened and out came Ashley.

"Holy shit," he yelled, "What the hell is all the noise for!? I can hear you two inside!"

I screamed, "CC asked me out and I said yes!"

"Wait," Jinxx had walked out, "What?"

I screamed back, "CC and I are dating!"

I continues yelling to yell as Jake then walked out too. Andy was shortly behind him with Katlyn, Sandra, Alexa and Emily.

"What the hell is all the noise for," Jake asked, "Is it the pizza guy? If not, I'm going back in."

Ashley explained to him, "CC asked Amanda out. She said yes. And now she's screaming. So, no. No pizza."

"What the fuck," Jake mumbled under his breath as he walked back in, with Emily right behind him.

"Well," Andy stepped towards us, "I guess the 'surprise' is ruined. Not that it seems anyone cares. You two 'lovebirds' coming in or what?"

I smiled at CC and headed in. He jogged to catch up with me and we walked in together. Jake was on the couch moping that the pizza guy was late and they should get it for free now. Emily was trying to comfort him and Jinxx was alone in a corner looking slightly depressed. What the hell?

"Hey," I turned to CC, "I'll be right back. I'm going to check on Jinnx. See what's up. Okay?"

He kissed my forehead, "Okay."

I smiled as I walked over to Jinxx. I get he's quiet, but not this quiet. Something was up.

I sat down next to him, "Hey Jinxx. What's wrong? You look depressed."

He let out a sigh before speaking, "I kinda am."

This shocked me, "Well, why? What happened?"

He stared at his lap and fiddled with his hands, I could tell he was hiding something, "Nothing..it's just...you're really pretty, Sandra dumped me and then I find out you're with CC..."

My heart swelled up, "Aw Jinxx. That's too bad. Why did Sandra leave you?"

He shrugged, "I don't know...I think she said she wanted CC or something...maybe it was Jake...I don't really care..."

I thought carefully before responding, "Well, Jinnx, I'd love to date you, but you're like a dad to me. CC just asked me out too. Ashley finally gave us his blessing. I don't know Jinxx. I'd hate nothing more than to hurt CC but I don't want you hurt and upset either."

He grabbed my hands and eagerly said, "Then leave CC. He'll be fine. Sandra will be right there to pick him back up anyways!"

I stared at him, slightly shocked by his reaction, "Um...I don't think I can..."

He stood up and dragged me away from everyone else, "Amanda look, I love you. Honestly, I really do. I have ever since Ashley introduced us. I noticed you had a thing for CC and I was with Sandra anyways but I backed off. She's gone now. I need to know how you feel."
