Chapter 1- how I turned
The night I turned went a little like this…… I was seventeen and still in high school. I have long dark brown wavy hair, graceful green eyes, my name is Gwen Tyler, and I have been told I have a beautiful smile lots of times. I have always been an outgoing girl even after the change it’s the only thing about myself that has stayed the same. Everything else changed on October thirty-first, (I know what your thinking “oh Halloween! That just seems like another scary story” but it’s not). 2010, two years ago today. It was a dark murky night and the moon was full. I was walking back home from my best friends mothers design studio/ art studio. My friend, her name is Kendrya Connors. she works designing clothes and sketching them for her mother’s business. She loves doing it, designing; she has a real talent one of many. But she has long straight light brown hair with piercing blue eyes the color of the sky. Well as I was walking home when I got to a musty alley I felt this unpleasant pain top of my gums. As if someone were jabbing knifes in them. I fell to the cold hard ground then blacked out. I woke with a shove as I saw my mothers face hovering over me grinning because I had woken. That’s when I saw them: her teeth! She had fangs! She had long white FANGS like a………..she was a vampire. I scrambled around scared that something had possessed my mother but when she finally spoke she said “sweetie yes I am a vampire I changed on the Halloween night when I was seventeen twenty years ago and that’s what is happening to you”. I nervously touched my teeth only to find they were just like my mothers, sharp, long, and I had a sudden craving. I didn’t know what it was until my mother told me “your craving it’s for human blood. It will only grow stronger until you feed on someone. If you don’t feed within twenty-four hours you will risk dyeing. I will train you to live on animal blood”. This was all too much I just needed to be alone right now so I got up off the table and ran I felt one gust of wind and I was there in the grave yard next to my fathers grave stone.
