She stood at the little booth and looked at the odd assortment of charms and necklaces.

"Hello." A short, bald old man greeted her happily.

"Hello." She smiled.

"Birthday present?" He asked, his voice was raspy but sweet and soft.

"How'd you know?" She laughed.

"I know these things." He chuckled and began to pull things off the hooks of his little booth. She felt bad about not wanting anything, but she couldn't see anything Suga would like.

"I think this one is for you." The old man held a gold chain out to her. There was a small, gold tree pendant attached to the chain. Her hand immediately went to her necklace, slipping over the delicate knots of the tree branches.

"Uh. Yeah. I'd-I'd like that." She murmured distractedly. She grabbed out her money at gave him a five.

"It's only $3." The little old man looked at her curiously.

"Keep the change." She looked down at the necklace in awe. It was almost exactly like hers.

"I think you might need this as well." The little old man handed her a gold, fabric charm with kanji characters on it.

"I don't-" she began.

"It's free." He insisted. She smiled and nodded.

"Thank you. What is it?" She asked.

"Protection charm. You will need it." The old man muttered.

"Can't hurt." She smiled.

"You remind me of my niece. Very beautiful." The old man chuckled.

"Thank you. That's so sweet." She laughed. The old man smiled, his wrinkles crinkling up his face.

"I suggest you go. You don't want to miss your birthday party."

She rushed into the apartment and put down her bag. She was late, she needed to start the birthday dinner. First she peeked into the living room. All the guys were crowded around the coffee table playing cards. Jimin was giggled and J-Hope was smiling broadly. Jungkook was opening his mouth to yell, and Suga was shaking his head in disapproval. Jin was smiling slyly looking at his cards, and Rapmon was looking straight at her. She put a finger to her lips and winked before running back into the kitchen and starting dinner. She cooked as quietly as she could and she made a large meal of fish and rice. She spooned out the servings and walked out into the living room.

"Wow!" Jungkook gasped and greedily began shoving the food in his mouth. Everyone around her dug into their meal and she ate hers quickly. Suga nudged her.

"Yeah?"

"Thanks." He smiled shyly.

"Happy Birthday." She giggled. He put his arm around her and she rested her head on his shoulder.

"You guys keep playing. We're gonna go for a walk." Suga stood and helped her up.

"Can I have your cards?" Jungkook yelled while eating, rice flying out of his mouth.

"No, they're mine. Clean up your face, grab a juice box and go to bed." Jin ordered.

"Come on! I don't drink juice boxes!" Jungkook groaned, picking rice off his face.

"Then why do you tell Nari to buy them huh?" Jin countered.

"I don't! That's Jimin!" Jungkook whined.

"No I don't! I'm not immature like you!" Jimin yelled. Jin stood up and yelled good-naturedly,

"Bed now!"

Suga led her down the streets and into the city park. She wondered how he knew where he was. They had just moved here. He wrapped his arms around her shoulders and they walked in a comfortable silence. She liked this. Just a nice walk at night. The street lamps cast a yellowish glow on their surroundings, but it was beautiful in its own way. She stayed close to him, it was comforting to have him nearby. They stopped at a small outlook over the city. She leaned against the metal railing and he stood beside her, facing away from the view.

"How'd you know this was here?" She asked.

"We didn't get on a random train. I've been here before. I like knowing the territory." He shrugged.

"I see. When did you come here?" She asked softly, admiring the view. The lights of the city flickered and twinkled, shrouded by the leaves of trees.

"With my mom and my siblings. Dad sent us off on vacation." He mumbled.

"Speaking of your mom, I have something for you." She smiled excitedly, pulling the necklace out of her pocket. She handed it to him,

"Do you like it?" She looked at him hopefully.

"Where did you get this?" He asked urgently, holding the necklace so tight his knuckles turned white.

Was everything okay?
