"Sophie get the hell up now!" my mother yelled, i already knew the time, without opening my eyes, 5:30am. She did this every morning.

"Yes mum!" i yelled back, crawling out of my small bed and rubbing my eyes.

I did this every morning, got up, had a shower and blow-dried my hair, then proceeding out of the bathroom and into my small bedroom i sighed, it was a mess. Books, paper and stationary was all over the ground, my mirror and dressing table, scattered with various things between more books, and different coloured foulders.

I looked into the mirror and frowned, i was a spitting image of my room, a mess. My shoulder-length caramel hair was everywhere and i had bags under my eyes. I applied a little makeup to fix the few pimples on my face, the bags and then continued to brush my knotted hair.

After dressing myself and packing my schoolbag with the essentials, i walked down the stairs and yawned, 6:30 am on the dot. I peered around the corner leading into the kitchen, my mother wasn't there.

My mother was not a particuarly good one, yelling at me, making me do all the housework, and now that im in high school she is pressuring me to do the absolute best so i can earn her cash as a doctor or sonething stupid like that. So i had to spend every waking moment either cleaning or studying, not very fun.

So when i saw she wasn't in the kitchen i sneaked up to a cubboard and stole two pieces of rye bread and broke a piece of and nibbled onto it, then walked out of the room.

"I'm going to school mother, ill be home soon!" I called, running to the front door.

"Sophie don't be home late! You have work to do, and i don't want you gathering with anyone, everyone these days are trouble." She replied, not even saying goodbye.

"A bye darling, i love you would be nice" i whispered sarcastically as i slammed the door and took to the street.
