The eye contact
Still intact
Neither she broke it
Nor did I
As if searching for something
Her eyes tried reading
The intensity they held
Something in her impelled
To walk towards her
And talk to her
Before I could
Or before she would
My sister came in view
She hugged me tight
And kissed me on the cheek right
It was like our own little tradition
Without any condition
My eyes flickered back to her
Just seeing her
Made my heart flutter
Something flashed in her eyes
And turned them as cold as ice
Her face turned pale
As if she just heard a scary tale
She turned around
And walked away
I wonder what was it
That flashed in her eyes
What was it
that made her walk away
What was it
That made her not look back
But as if I care...
Cause I'm Skylar
And I don't care bout anyone
"...SKYYYYYYY...." She screamed
"What ?" I snapped at her
"You like her..." She said and started smirking
She -being my sister
Who annoyed me
as much as a foot blister
"No." I snapped again
"Yes" she affirmed
"Get lost " I replied .
"U too" she said and rolled her eyes
Walking to the car in silence
Without any further violence
And as I drove off
I heard the sirens
And then did I remember
I forgot my licence
Thinking it was the police..
I sped the car
As if I'd come from the bar
" Woah, slow down ,
It's not chasing you "
I took a look
In the rear view mirror
And found the police car
takin a turn in the next street
I felt relieved
"I don't have my license "I huffed out .
My sis rolled her eyes
Turned on her thighs
Dug for something in her bag
And handed me,my license tag
"Idiot, why did u have it "I asked her getting furious
"Cause apparently,
u gave it to me and forgot "
She said...
"again,might I add" she added.
"Yeah watever " I shut her
On reaching home
I went to my room
Took a quick shower
And sat down on my bed
My thoughts drifted back to her
The way she turned in class
To look at me
The way she looked at me,
Her eyes
Her smile
Her hair
Everything was perfect
She was perfect
But who was she ?
I had to find out
So I called out rocky
But what would I tell him
Nah...bad idea
I don't want to give him a reason,
to tease me for no reason .
I'll just find it out tomorrow
But wait..I'm not the one to follow
I'm the one who is followed by others
I'm Skylar ,
And Skylar doesn't think about anyone
She is no one
But Just another one of...
'No you ass ,
Neither a victims of your sass
Nor of your charm' cried the inner Voice
Oh only if it knew she's surely just another one
But it seemed wrong
And very very strong
Little did I know then
She's not JUST ANOTHER ONE
But she is the ONLY ONE
