Never Have I Ever - WritterWithAnAttitude (Em)

Our love story is unlike some. It seems like a movie most of the time, but I assure you, it's the truth.

Different from most love stories, this one has five love stories in one. One for each of us, each one of our little family.

It's a long and difficult one; I just hope that you have the patience to stay with me, the way I never could.

But first things first, all three of us were dropped off here when we were really little. Ms. Tuner, the lady of the house took us in as her own. We're all orphans and Ms. Turner graciously opened her home to us as our foster mother until we would be adopted. We are now all eighteen and none of us have ever been close to being adopted. People have come and gone, but we've always stuck together. We don't really mind. We have each other and that's all that really matters to us.

Though we have the same upbringing, we all have our own stories.

There are many places that I can start, but let's start with the morning of my eighteenth birthday with me, Amélie, and my three best friends: Grace, Leana, and Rose, sitting in the attic of the New York apartment.

Grace is the oldest but only by three days. She's the sexy, sporty one. She is on every sports team at our school, except the football team. She has most of the jocks attracted to her because of her athletic ability. Next to me, she has been here the longest.

We were discussing Leana's 'unfortunate' situation at a party we went to the night before.

Leana is the second oldest. She's a little slutty, but she is top of our class. She has the brains, but when she is drunk she loses all of her intelligence. Pretty much every guy likes her.

"I can't believe you had sex with Derik!" Rose yelled at Leana.

Rose is only three minutes younger than Leana. She looks exactly like Leana, but she is a little miss popular at school. She's head cheerleader, vice president of the senior class at Cobble Hill, and was prom queen last year. Nearly every guy likes Rose and Leana, but the girls and I agreed that we don't fall for cheesy players.

"He's hot, and I was drunk!" She reasoned.

"Yeah, but he's Lexi's brother!"

Leana shrugged.

"Helllllooooo! Earth to Leana! She's the Wicked Witch of the city!" explained Grace.

I rolled my eyes, laughing. "Plus he probably carries some disease! Not to mention he slept with Samantha last week!"

I, on the other hand, am completely different from all my friends. I don't feel pain. I don't play sports. I'm reasonably average in my classes. I am not at all popular. Everyone knows me as the hot orphan who hangs out with Grace, Rose, and Leana. I'm the kind of girl who stays away from everyone except my friends. If I don't have a class with my friends, I sit in the back with my headphones in my ears and my head in a book. If I'm not in class, I'm probably in the library or the principal's office.

"C'mon Amélie! You know she isn't that bad." Leana protested.

"Yeah, well I'm still not convinced that he doesn't have a disease," everyone laughed. "I mean how can you sleep around like that all the time and not have some disease?" I choked on my laughter.

Leana twisted her platinum blonde hair around her finger. "Well I don't really care. He's a good kisser, so I really don't care anymore." A tear falls down her cheek.
