"You Don't Need An Umbrella... To Kiss The Rain"

It was past sunset as the last rays of light filled the horizon with a sweet evening glow. I knew the ran would stop in any moment as twilight was fading in. Luscious drops of the rain kissed my windows as the resonance of thunder has faded out. I was still busy in my room finishing reading my novel as the last strike of lightning came. "AAAARGHH!" I was shocked as I heard daddy's screams towards the resulting thunder. I slightly giggled that even I can resist the terror of thunder better than dad. I was at chapter 23 when someone bothered to knock on my door.

"Rain honey! Your soup is ready!" Mom shouted by my door as she knocked throught it. "Coming mom!" I shouted back as to make sure she will hear my response. I began to read faster as the last two pages of the chapter were closing in. "Rain! Your soup is getting cold! Come down and eat it quickly!!!" Mom shouted from downstairs as she said my meal was getting frozen my the cold weather. I quickly replied as I finally read the last sentence of my book. "Done!" I replied to myself as I finally read chapter 23. I slided my bookmark in as i stood up to stretch. After yawning towards the rain, I went to check on the window to see how's everything going outside. What a wonderful sight! A double rainbow came out of nowhere intersected by another faded rainbow. I hurriedly grabbed my iPhone as I was seizing to capture the moment. The sun was dying out so I made it quick. I took 6 clear photos' one which was blury which I deleted soon. I ran downstairs with my phone as I showed the beautiful picturesque to mom. "Wow, that's amazing dear! Okay, now eat your Cream of Mushroom before it gets popsickle-ized..." I nodded back to mom as I met my brother by the kitchen island eating his soup. I first went to the pantry to grab some crackers that I can partner with my soup. "Sup sis..." My brother noticed me passing by as he took considerable amounts of soup in his mouth. "Sup Summer... How's the soup?" I replied as he made his statement, he nodded as he said it was hot and delicious. I went towards my soup and grabbed a spoon to taste it. I put my palm over my face as I quickly called mom.

"Mom! You said my soup was cold!!!" I shouted at the top of my voice to make sure she heard my message to her from downstairs. Mom quickly came down and answered back a "What?" to me. I said my word again as she chuckled in return. "I just wanted you to enjoy your meal..." I smiled in return as I sat down with Summer to eat my soup. Yes, it was truly delicious, mom got the recipe from the restaurant where she usually worked as a chef, but now she's retired and now I'm the one who should be looking for a job. I brought my bowl by the sink as soon as I finishied my meal and burped aloud. "Wow sis, you have been burping louder than me eversince!" I chuckled as my brother tried to flatter me. "You evil boy! Try beating me in your stupid game!" He almost spitted his soup out as he tried to reply back quickly. Before he could even speak, I spoke out another little piece of information. "Hello, Summer? You're a boy? I'm a girl? And nt to mention, were even twins???" He cleared his throat as he replied to my stand. "No way, shemale... It doesn't mean that you're a girl doesn't mean I can beat you in burping contest..." I turned towards Summer as I made another stand for him. "Excuse me, Summer? Shemale?! I'm no SHEMALE! It doesn't mean that I burp out loud, play GTA, dance under the rain without an umbrella, and even eat so fast doesn't mean I'm a boy, genius..." I quckly turned my back as I ignored his words by shouting back 'bla-bla-bla" repeatedly. I bla-blaed my way to my room to watch TV as I laughed back at my brother speaking to himself. Arriving back, the rainbow was still there, struggling for the light to keep it alive, but now faded to the darkness of the sky. I grabbed my phone to take another picture, but before I can, I recieved a text from my bestfriend Nathan. "Hey Rain! The RAIN has stopped :P Let's go out 2 wilderness cafe, FREE MILK TEA! FREE MILK TEA!!! hahahaa jk :) I want to go to the hill and go stargazing" As I recieved it, I ran to our parents room whre I found mom vacuuming the floor and dad watching TV. "Mom, can I go out with --" I was cut before I could even finish, my mom nodded back immediately as she replied.

"Sure honey, but be home by eight!" I smiled back as I went to take a shower and got readu for our outing. Before I took a shower, I replied to Nathan, informing him that I can go and I'll pay for the milk tea. With another reply from him, he thanked me as he informed me he shall get dressed. As I closed the bathroom curtains, the beautiful sight of dazzling stars with the evening twilight with a sense of passion and serenity. I played some music before setting my phone down by the bathroom counter and signing along with the songs as I showered away.
