A desolate hospital room.
A dim light of grey sky seeping through the beige blinds.
And a frail body lying in what was soon to be another empty bed.
That frail body was once my only hope of joy.
Placing my hands on hers.
I hopelessly gaze into her deep infinite eyes.
"Don't leave me here"
"I wont. I wont ever leave this room." I assure her.
"No, understand me." her calming words sooth me.
"I do." I try to give her the assurance which she was presenting me.
"It is soon to be the end of this." she replies
"It wont, I swear, we'll make it last." I feel the light weight of water in my eyes.
"It's not going to be forever. We always.... I always knew that at least... " Her words seem so brave to me.
"But I can't live without you." I inhale shakily
"Don't be so dramatic." she coughs with a comforting smile.
"How am I supposed to exist without you by my side?" I cannot hide the tears falling down my cheeks
"I will always love you." her words shake my mind out of it's miserable state.
"And I..." I promised to myself more than her, "I will always love you."
She gives a weak smile while gripping my hand tighter.
Tears are starting to fall
"There is nobody else in this world... Who I could ever love, besides you." I vow to her.
"And I swear. I will never leave your side." I cry to her.
She gives me her last heart warming smile which always seems to make the sun shine brightly.
Her beautiful eyes comforting me.
Telling me that she will never forget me.
And I will never forget her
I close her eyes.
And I cry.
I will always love you
I will never forget you.
And I promise;
I will never leave you...
