"What do you mean?" I asked equally as worried as Carolyn.

"When I came back from the store, I found this on the welcome mat..." She pulled out a cardboard box and inside there was a note along with a beautiful hand made flower crown and a crown locket with my name engraved on it. I opened it and there was a picture of when Tyson and I shared our first kiss. We were just fooling around and he had me in his strong arms by the waist spinning me, and when he finally put me down, he looked deep into my eyes smiled and leaned in. I had to stand on my toes to reach up to his soft lips. I smiled. He smiled. It felt so right and so perfect. We were just going to take a simple picture, but he surprised me with his actions and it became so much more.

"Aneelleeeee" Carolyn says causing me snap back to reality.

"Sorry I just dozed out..." I said quietly.

I looked back at the small gifts and noticed a folded piece of paper. I grabbed it quickly and unfolded it to see that it was a letter with Tyson's handwriting.

Dear Elle,
I miss you. I'm sorry about what happened the other night, it was just a mistake. I promise it won't happen again if you could just forgive me and come back. Meet me at our special place tonight at sunset if you can forgive me. Just you and me baby. Please...
-Tyson

"We that's a nice fucking way of putting it bluntly." She said sarcastically.

"He means it..... I think..." I said reading over the letter a few more times.

"You're not thinking about going, are you?" She asked hesitantly.

"Well... I mean... Maybe give him a chance to speak" I said beginning to question myself.

"I'm not letting you go. Don't." She said with a stern look on her face.

"Please Carol don't be like this.." I trailed off looking at the small gifts once again.

"Why shouldn't I. You've given him enough chances already way before. He's full of bullshit. You know that. He doesn't deserve you."She started to raise her voice.

"JUST STOP. You're not my mother Carolyn. I know what I'm doing, but if it bothers you so goddamn much then I won't. Jesus Carolyn." I blurted out.

She walked out the door without saying a word. She'll be back later. I gathered the letter and the other things and took them back into my room. I sat in front of the vanity and touched the fragile flowers on the crown and placed it softly on my head. I held the locket gently as if it were about to break with the slightest movement, and I put it around my neck. I looked up to see my reflection and began to think about Tyson and what he might've been thinking when he put these together. I grabbed the letter and read it once more.

Our special place....

The place the flowers on the crown came from. The place where we shared our first kiss. The place we first started hanging out when we first met. OUR special place. I told Carolyn I wouldn't go, mostly for HER sake. But I also told her I knew what I was doing. I can leave tonight while she's out for work and be ready right after she leaves. I know what I'm doing. I know what I'm doing.
I know what I'm doing.
I know what I'm doing.

And I'm going to see Tyson.
