Walking with grace and a straight back Adillyn Valenkyne, a 17 year old vampire walked down the halls of her family's castle looking for her friend Tonks Giles, she was very familiar with the twists and turns of the castle halls and knew what pictures hung on the walls. She stood at 5'6 with blonde hair rolling down her back in tresses of curls, she wore a red and black dress that went passed her ankles, flowing onto the floor dragging across the cobble stones, and on top of her head a huge black cast iron crown upon her head to show her rank.

"Adi what are you doing out in the open darling, it is almost light time." She turned to look upon her mother, old in her age, but young in her beauty Daniella Valenkyne was the Queen of the dynasty, her blood red eyes sending shivers down any spine whom she looked upon.

"Mother, I was looking for Tonks. I needed a drink and I couldn't find my blood bags in my room." I explained, my fangs slicing out at the thought of blood.

"That is no excuse when the sun could come out any minute and scorch your pale skin!" she yelled her voice piercing my ears and her eyes staring straight into my undead soul. I whined in submission and turned my eyes to the floor wanting nothing but to run to my room. We vampires are loyal to ones above us, mother being above me, I cowered under her. Although if my father were alive, my mother would cower underneath him.

"Darling, listen to me, I get mad because I do not want to lose you, your father, may his soul rest in peace, losing him to the war, it hasn't been the same. You Adillyn are my pride and joy to the new Dynasty." She grabbed my chin with her cold boney fingers and turned my face up to look at her as she petted my hair in a loving way. "There's my beautiful girl, now I'll send Tonks to your room as soon as I get word of his where abouts, then you'll need to go to sleep before the sun comes up." Bending forward I felt her cold lips touch my forehead leaving a bright red lipstick stain in its place, which she licked her thumb to wipe away.

I may be 1018 years old but she never treated me like an adult, I was always her baby. "Mother please stop, it is undignified to treat me this way when im so old." I muttered as she wiped off the lipstick leaving the smell of her spit.

Staring at me she huffed and turned on her heals clacking away in them as she said behind her "I will see you tonight darling, do not be late for your training before hand, and drink as much blood as you can!" Then she was gone, down the hall and out of sight.

Making my way down the halls, the smell of home was almost comforting, I was undead so the smells and colors were more enhanced. The smell of blood, rotting corpse's and vanilla, that is what home smelled like to me and the people whom lived in the castle. Being that all who lived here were vampires, it was a comforting and warming smell to come home to.

Opening my bedroom door in the third corridor, I automatically see Tonks sitting on the bed, his bites from me prominent along his body, his white almost paper-like skin shown his red and delicious veins popping out, I could hear his pulse coming from his neck. My fangs wanted to tear out of my gums but I knew that I needed to have a conversation with him before I tore some of his blood from his neck, thats how we were.

"Hello dear Tonks" I explained walking over to him, sitting on the bed. He turned toward me barring his neck to me. "Adi you need not take too much today, Valerie took two quartz of blood before you, and....and I don't know how much more I can take today." He explained, and I finally noticed his condition, Being a "Blood Giver" you had 3-5 vampires feeding off you at once, sometimes there would be times where they would feed off you to much, and you would get sick or ready to pass out.

I now noticed his appearance and seen his hollowed out eyes and his sagging skin in his face, "Tonks, i'm not feeding off you," I said slowly touching his black hair kissing his forehead "you may be my blood giver, but you are also a good friend, and you cannot live off of giving me blood tonight, you need rest." Getting up I picked him up, swiftly setting him in my bed covering him with blankets and fluffing the pillows under him. To be honest Tonks was my only immortal friend who didn't die, but gave blood to me and other vampires royals in the castle.
