I was taken out of my memories by knocking on my door. My eyes found there way to my door. I pierced the door with a hard gaze, cursing it for emitting such a loud noise.
When the knocking continued I growled inwardly and said shyly"Yes?"
"Hey, Rae can I come in." Kamelle said from the other side of the door.
"Yes."I said sweetly, hating the way I had to act around her. It would all be over soon. They wouldn't know what hit them.
She opened the door with a big smile on her face. Her mate was behind her, staying close to his property.
"I found my mate!" She giggled and walked into my room, Beta Shire close behind her.
A fake tiny smile graced my lips as I looked up to her. "Congratulations." I whispered.
Beta Shire growled, mistaking my shyness for disrespect. He walked up to me and tilted my head so I was looking into his eyes. I suppressed from showing my true emotions in my eyes. I knew if i did he would suspect my true strength.
"You will always show complete respect to my mate."he squeezed my cheeks tightly before letting go.
"Jackson! What was that for? You know that Raven has always been like that. Apologize now."
I smirked as he looked down and submitted to his mate. Go on. Be the little bitch I know you are...
"I'm sorry Raven. I just felt as if you weren't given Kamelle the respect she deserves." He said while starring at his feet.
Knowing that I couldn't refuse his apology I looked up at him and said very soft spoken "Its okay, I understand completely. Kamelle is now Beta Female. She is a very important member of the pack."
"Raven I am still your sister so you can still treat me like so." Kam stated sitting beside me. As she did so she noticed my violin in my lap.
"That's beautiful Rae, did you make it by yourself?"
Actually shy about this I nodded my head and didn't say anything.
"Can you play me something for my birthday." She asked excited.
As badly as I wanted to refuse I knew I couldn't. I nodded my head again and took hold of my violin.
Positioning it right I started to play happy birthday. It only lasted three minutes, but it got the job done. She clapped and laughed in approval.
"That was beautiful Raven. I also matched today's theme." She winked at her birthday joke and walked with Beta Shire to the door." I guess I'll leave it here before I ask you to play even more songs for me." She laughed once more before leaving me by myself.
My mind began to wonder. Leading me back to where I was before.
I woke to the beeping of a heart monitor. Taking in the white clean room. I was at he hospital. Sitting in the corner was the man with the blood around his mouth. My mother's murderer.
I quickly sat up and screamed. Trying to get out the bed and further away from him. He jumped up an 'shh'ed me. This only made me cry more. Nurses entered the room to see what was the commotion. I yelled at them to get the man out of the room. They quickly escorted him out, silencing me once again. I took in rapid breaths and finally calmed down.
The man knocked on my Hospital door.
"May I come in and explain?" He asked.
I didn't know if I should let him in or not. I didn't know if it would be the right decision.
"Please. I promise I wont hurt you." He said.
I knew now that my decision would effect my future greatly.
"Come in."I said meekly.
He entered the room, but stayed in the far corner not to frighten me once more.
I took in his appearance. Brown hair, kinda long . Dark eyes. Scruffy face. Pale.
"Explain." I said. Not having the full capability to talk to this murderer.
"I didn't kill you mo-"
"LAIR!" I yelled, my mood taking a swing from the shyness moments ago.
"No please you asked for an explanation, let me tell you it."
"I don't talk to strangers and especially not killers."
"Then listen."he stated." I wounded the man who killed your mother. He escaped and is out there somewhere. I am a part of the Slayer society and I promise I will find the son of a bitch and kill him myself." He started walking towards the door, but stopped when I called out.
"Wait! Can I help?" I asked serious.
"In time yes. For now however you must rest." He exited the room leaving me to myself.
