Hunter and Dylan. Soulmates one might say. The two were like peas in a pod; close as can be. They were extremely fond of one another, never wanting to leave the other's side. Each afternoon was spent playing whatever game their imaginations gave them that day. Their favorite however was ninja spy takeover. In both Hunter and Dylan's backyards they had created forts with help from their parents of course. The forts could be anything Hunter and Dylan wanted them to be. While playing ninja spy takeover the forts were their not so secret bases. Both Dylan and Hunter had a favorite stuffed animal. For Hunter it was Ace the bear. For Dylan it was Sly the puppy. Hunter would try to take back Ace from Dylan and Dylan would do the same for Sly. If either of them captured back their stuffed animal, or should I say child, they won.

There was many more games the two would play, such as airplane and their second favorite, creating obstacle courses. As they grew older however, they began to outgrow their overactive imaginations. They began to take a liking towards music and art. Hunter fell in love with drawing, as Dylan did with music. Each day after school the two would get together and do homework and then enjoy the most awaited part of their days, spending time in their treehouse. Inside the treehouse there was drawing upon drawing hanging on the walls, as well as a record player and a modern radio. The floor had been covered in foam mats which Hunter had painted upon. There was bean bag chairs for the two, a table and chair to draw on, a microphone to sing into and guitar. Dylan absolutely loved to sing, as did Hunter. The two also longed to be able to play guitar. They were fascinated by it. Eventually, Dylan began to write his own songs and chords to play. Hunter would then proceed to draw anything she felt or thought listening to Dylan's songs. The two made an amazing artistic duo.

However, all of their perfection came crashing down one cold winter day during the 5th grade. Dylan was moving. His dad had just got an amazing promotion and would need to work in San Francisco, 12,000 miles away from Hunter. When Dylan found out he ran over to Hunter's house and burst through the door. As he ran up to Hunter's room he heard a plethora of voices coming from the kitchen where Hunter's parents were. Dylan didn't have the time or need in his mind to stop and listen to them. He burst in, eyes watering and rushed towards Hunter who was sitting at her desk drawing with her headphones in. Dylan wrapped himself around Hunter and began to cry. Hunter, confused at first asked what was wrong. As Dylan begun to explain Hunter began to cry as well. The two cried in one another's arms for hours. Hunter couldn't believe that her best friend would be moving all the way across the country. She thought she would never see him again.

Dylan was absolutely devastated. During his last day there, he and Hunter spent every possible second together. The night before the sat outside and gazed upon the stars and fell asleep in eachothers arms. As Dylan's car pulled away from hunter, both felt their fragile hearts rip in two. Hunter thought she would never see him again. As did Dylan.

"Hunter! You need to get up! You have work in 20 minutes!" called Hunter's mom.
"Alright! I'm getting dressed jeez." sneered Hunter.

As Hunter was getting changed and applying her makeup she thought to herself, contemplating her life. Work is so stupid she thought. But she needed the money, so she was stuck scanning food for 7 hours a day. What a waste of time that would be.
As Hunter arrived to work, she noticed a quite familiar face. There was a quaint old lady walking into the store holding hands with a small boy, whom Hunter assumed to be her grandson. But you see, that small boy looked incredibly like someone Hunter knew from her childhood. Dylan. The boy had an uncanny similarity to Dylan. Hunter sighed. She missed Dylan greatly. They were bestest of best friends. Hunter felt an aching feeling in her chest then. She knew she would never see Dylan again, so she just pushed her feeling deep down inside her; bottled them up to be dealt with later on.

Hunter walked through the doors and heard the most annoying sound to her at that moment, that damn door bell. As Hunter walked to her register she received a warm smile and wave from one of her co-workers, Jayse. Jayse was one of the nicest guys Hunter had ever met. He wasn't rude or confusing like other guys and he had a great sense of humor.

As Hunter finally walked up to her register she sighed deeply. Oh the dreaded world of working. As the morning shift dragged on and on Hunter grew more and more tired. She had also developed and yearn for coffee. The slight problem was that no drinks were allowed near the register, in fear of ruining them.
Finally, after standing for seven hours, Hunter was done work. Now it was time to go back home take a nap and watch some netflix. Hunter's new obsession on netflix was the show Supernatural. It was about two brothers who travel across the country fighting off all things paranormal and supernatural. After the second episode she had completely fallen in love with the Winchesters. Now every day after work Hunter would come home and binge watch Supernatural then sleep and repeat.

This cycle repeated itself for the entirety of the summer after her senior year. Soon it would be time for her to start her classes at Silvian art and music College. It had been her lifelong dream to attend school there. Her and Dylan had been planning to go there since the day Hunter picked up a crayon and Dylan a Guitar. Sadly, Hunter had no idea if Dylan would still be going there. She hoped to see him there, if she were even to recognize him.
