A cold draft flows into the room, making me curl farther into my blanket. I can hear Beth walking around the room, muttering something about Josh. I'm half asleep when I hear a quiet gasp. I hear shuffling and Beth whisper yelling at Josh to wake up. I yawn and force myself to sit up.

"Beth, what's going on?" I ask and yawn again. My eyes are slowly drifting closed, exhaustion sinking in fast.

"Nothing babe, don't worry about a thing." I feel her kiss me on the forehead. "I'll be right back, okay?"

"Okay. I love you." I say and lie down on the couch again. I can hear the smile in her voice when she replies.

"I love you too. Now get some sleep." And just like that, she's gone. I drift off to sleep without a worry in the world, not knowing that she had just lied to me, not knowing that that would be the last thing I would ever hear her say. Later, Sam would wake me up and tell me the truth. She'd tell me about the prank, how Hannah had run outside. She'd tell me Beth had run after her. She'd tell me that it had been 3 hours and they hadn't returned. We would sit there and worry with Josh for hours. And then hours would turn to days. And the police would search. And then days would turn to weeks. Weeks would turn to months. The hope would dry up, along with the tears.  I'd stop talking to everyone. Josh would be angry; the others would be to blame. I'd lock myself in my room and never really leave. My phone would be under the bed to quiet the constant rings. The others wouldn't understand why I was so mad. They would seem to have forgotten everything of our past. They would ask me why I never came out with them, why I hid in my room. They wouldn't seem to realize the obvious. Josh didn't just lose two sisters that night.

I lost a girlfriend.

New story! Yay! Until dawn fanfiction! This story will have lots of spoilers in it, sorry. Hope you enjoy! First chapter will hopefully be up later tonight! Also, (you'll find out about this next chapter but I wanted to clear up any confusion now) the main character is a girl. She's pansexual (gender doesn't matter, she focuses more on personality) so if that makes you uncomfortable, then this story isn't for you.
