Chapter 45

"Hi"

"Hi" I said back, smiling.

"You.. Look gorgeous" he told me.

I smiled and thanked him.

"Wanna watch a movie?" I asked him.

He shrugged and we both went to couch. I sat next to him on my couch and turned on the TV. I pressed the button that said Netflix on my remote.

"What movi-"

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. Luke gave me a confused glance and I shrugged.

It can be my dad because my dad won't be back until later and plus, he would open the door. Not knock.

Getting up to answer the door, Luke went behind me just in case. Not that I was scared of answering doors, but this was unexpected.

I opened it and I immediately glared at the person.

There stood Eva in a red dress with no shoulders or sleeves. The dress went down all the way to her knees. Her hair was up in a bun and she wore makeup for once.

I glared at her and crossed my arms.

"What do you want?" I asked her in a harsh tone.

"I-I was invited"

I looked at Luke and gave him a confused look. He shrugged and continued to glare at Eva.

"Well, you thought wr-"

"Eva!! Come in!!" My mom shouted behind me.

That's when an idea popped in my head.

My mom invited Eva.

"Actually, she was about to leave mom" I told her.

"Flora, I invited her. Plus, she told me that she has nothing else to do" my mom put her hands on both of her hips.

My mom doesn't know about the Eva situation. I am actually kind of scared to tell her too. I told my mom once that this boy bullied me at my school when I was young. You know what she did?

She yelled at his mom and him.

And threw her burrito at their car.

I switched schools after that.

"Mom. Don't" I mouthed to my mom.

"I can go.." Eva muttered.

"No!! Honey, don't!!" My mom argued, glaring at me. "Stay, please.."

Eva small-smiled and came inside. She brushed past me and thanked my mom. I glared at her and she looked down.

I did admit I was being really mean, but she needs to know that I don't want her here and that she's not my friend anymore.

"Sit anywhere you like and please make yourself at home" my mom said sweetly.

"We're gonna talk later" my mom mouthed at me angrily. I gulped.
