Part 40

Raven came into the room with all the stuff that I needed, I directed her through the mixing of ingredients and then I told her to pour the liquid into the bottle. The worse part of this ritual is that I have to drink the nasty cow tongue infected brew. Josh grabbed the bottle and put it up to my lips to make me drink. This fowl stuff almost made my tastebuds run away and made my stomach clench. It was either this or finding my way to Nick, I think visiting hell would be better than either but I have no choice in this matter.
"Thank you guys for helping me."
"We're family Paris, we'll do anything for you." Raven said while putting the covers over me ", you should probably rest now and I'll be back for our slumber party."
She smiled and then left the room. Josh got up and walked towards the door.
"Don't leave."
"I wasn't, I was just going to turn the light off."
"Can't we leave it on?"
"Nothing's going to get you, I promise."
He pulled me closer to him after turning the light off and started to rub my belly. Like magic the baby kicked his hand and started to move, if you ask me I think someone is getting cramped up and is planning to make an appearance soon.
"What are we going to do Josh?"
It was dark but Josh could sense that a tear fell from my eye because he wiped it off.
"We just have to take it one day at a time babe."
I was feeling much better when I woke up but Josh wasn't beside me so I got up and went to Raven's room. She wasn't there so I decided to go to the living room but again I was out of luck. The front door was open so I decided to make my way over, when I got closer I heard voices whispering but I couldn't make out what they were saying.
"Josh?" I called out into the dark cold air.
He appeared in front of me in a flash looking concerned.
"What's wrong? You shouldn't be out of bed."
"I'm fine I was just wondering where everyone was at. I didn't want to be alone by myself."
"I'm coming in now, It's too cold outside for you."
I wasn't planning on going out anyways, I step away from the screen so he could open it. Behind him was Raven and she gave me a smile and wrapped her arm around mine.
   "Do you feel better?"
I nod my head to answer her question.
   "I'm ready to eat chocolate and talk about boys." I exclaim.
She giggled and Josh rolled his eyes.
   "I'm guessing that's my cue to leave now. I'm going to go eat I'll be back as fast as I can." He kissed my head.
   "Take your cellphone okay?"
   "Whatever you say Marie."
   "Josh Parker! You did not just use my middle name!"
   "Um let's see..... Yeah I think I did."
I elbow him in the ribs playfully and he backs away like I hit him hard.
   "If the government comes I'm giving you up instead." I stick out my tongue and sit on the couch.
   "I love you too my lovely."
I roll my eyes as he grabs his phone and leaves out the door.
   "Now that it's gone we can watch movies." Raven said.
I would like to see Josh and Raven as little kids because I'm pretty sure Adriana and Katrina had wonderful headaches with them. Raven put on The Notebook, I hadn't seen it but I heard it was good.

"Oh no, Noah don't leave! You love her!" I scream at the tv, I was cuddled up with Raven in a blanket eating popcorn.
  "Are you crying?" Josh asked from behind me.
  "No I'm not crying, I have dust in my eye, now shush. Allie don't move away stay there with Noah!"
  "This movie seems stupid."
Without taking my eyes off the screen I threw some popcorn at Josh, I'm pretty sure it didn't hit him but it was worth a try.
"It's romantic and it shows two people from different worlds coming together as one."
"Yeah it makes sense that her parents would make her move away from him." Josh said sarcastically.
"If you're going to judge it without watching you can leave."
He came over to the couch and sat beside me.
"Fine I'll watch it."
He put his arm around my shoulder and watched the whole movie, unlike Raven who decided to go to sleep. Girls night my ass. I nudged her with my elbow but she wouldn't budge.
"Should we leave her here?" I asked.
"No, I'll carry her up to her room."
"Okay I'm coming too, I'm kinda still tired."
Josh helped me up off of the couch and then picked Raven up and went up the stairs. I followed behind him but I went into his bedroom. I grabbed my phone and texted my mom and then I dialed Lilly.
   "Hello?" She said with a groggy whisper.
   "Did I wake you up? I'm sorry I forgot what time it was."
   "No it's fine, I was going to get up soon anyways."
I laid down in the bed and snuggled under the covers.
  "What's wrong? Is it the baby?" She said in a panicked tone.
  "The baby is doing fine, I just wanted to talk to my sister."
   "Okay so talk to your favorite sister."
    "Lilly, again you are my only sister and I don't know about favorite."
    "Them hormones have you sounding like a bitch."
I laughed, "I was always a bitch."
     "Well someone had to be the sexy tough sister."
     "Mhm...sooooo, how are you and Jake?"
    "Well we've been talking on the phone and video chatting but I haven't seen him yet. I think it's going good."
   "Have you figured out what you're going to do about living in New York while he's in Pennsylvania?"
   "No you know I'm no good at that." She whined.
   "If you really care for him then you should think about how he feels with this decision."
When you really love someone you can't look at just your side of things it has to be both sides cooperating and that's something that Josh and I still don't have control over. I wish I could say that we're perfect but we aren't and we never will be.
   "Okay French Fry, I'm going to get 5 minutes of sleep before my alarm goes off for me to get ready for school. Love you."
   "I love you too Lilly pad."
   "Oh and before you go dad, Kevin wants you to call him."
   "Will do Lil. Just text the number."
Josh came in the room as soon as I hung up.
   "Who was that?"
   "It was Lillian, we were talking about girl stuff.
Josh hopped into the bed and laid his head on my chest.
   "Was that necessary?"
   "Absolutely." He flashed his pearly whites and rested his hand on my belly. Right on cue JP moved towards daddy's hand.
