_______________________________________Small rays of sunlight began to fill the room through the small separation in the blinds that covered the only window in the attic room. Feeling the sunlight on her eyelids, the eighteen year old opened her eyes and let out a small groan as she pulled the covers over her head in a desperate attempt to get more sleep. Burying her face in the pillows, Christina managed to wrap the blanket even tighter around her small body.
"Chris, cmon. I know you'd rather just sit in here and slowly waste away but you have to go to work," said the older girl, Anya, who was only two years older than her but looked about eighteen, where as Christina still looked around 16 to most people.
"Oh well, we all know I was going to be fired soon anyway," Christina said to her friend, her words muffled by the pillow. Feeling the bed dip slightly beside her, she knew Anya had sat down. Christina slowly sat up after hearing Anya sigh quietly and pushed her hair out of her face, knowing it most likely looked like a family of raccoons had been living it in her hair for a month at the least. "Fine. I need the money anyway," she said as she pushed the blankets off of her and threw her legs over the bed, standing up. 'When did we move to Antartica' she thought to herself as the cold morning air hit her bare legs and arms since she was only in her sleep shorts and a tank-top.
After Christina had showered and put on her normal light makeup, (face power and mascara) she brushed out her brown hair and put it up in a messy ponytail before leaving the bathroom after pulling her white robe around her, only to come face to face with those gorgeous blue eyes she had become familiar with.
"All yours," she mumbled to Andy, her roommate Christian's friend. Seeing his glare she stepped out of the way and looked down as she quickly made her way to her room. Closing the door behind her, the young girl changed into a pair of blue jeans and a white t-shirt along with her plain black and white converse. Her closet was way outdated since the last time she bought new clothes was around her junior year of high school. 'I need to go shopping soon, this is not me at all anymore,' she thought as she looked through her closet.
Making her way downstairs, Christina noticed that the daily fight over pizza had already broken out. She made her way to the door where Anya was waiting so they could go to work and shook her head at the guys before walking out to Anya's car.
