My lock screen read "8:09 AM, September 24th, 2015." I couldn't believe how fast the last few weeks had been.

Then I realized I forgot to buy a dress. To do my makeup. To get ready. I was so stupid! "Ugh!" I groaned, shoving a pillow in my face.

"Honey, I'm gonna head to work!
Love you! I'll be back at 12!" My mom yelled and then closed the front door. I got up and began to panick. No dress means no sign up and no sign up means no auction prize money.

**

I figured I'd be okay wearing my old dark grey dress that went to my knees and had white flaps on the collar. I had done my hair into a ponytail and hoped that I'd get at least a thousand.

I grabbed my keys as I slid on my black heels. Walking out the front door, I began to wonder how many people would be there and who would buy me. I hoped so much that I'd get at least one person to auction on me.

**

All the girls' eyes were on me in the back room. They all had one either very slutty or very long and fancy dresses. I looked casual and like myself. I sighed.

I saw the sign up and saw how the people at the table looked.

"You're gonna wear that?" The woman asked.

I looked down and nodded as I finished writing my name. "All I could find."

She rolled her eyes and then said, "Next!"

I had gone to the room where all the girls were getting ready and I blushed when some were wearing nothing, being so confident about it. I looked away and then someone grabbed my shoulder.

The girl had blonde hair down to her shoulders and big blue eyes. She had freckles and a dark blue dress on with sequins on the top. "Hi, I'm Hailey." She smiled. "I've never seen you."

"I'm new," I informed her, looking down. "I'm Ginny."

"I like your dress." She smiled. She couldn't be serious... Then she met my eyes and then looked concerned. "Are you okay?"

She was serious. "Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks."

"You don't like your dress," she stated. "C'mon with me."

I followed Hailey as she lead me to another room with a million racks of dresses. They all looked like princess or prom or slutty, dresses. I didn't like them from what I saw. "We have millions," Hailey told me. "Just pick one."

I nodded. "Thank you, Hailey."

She smiled and then hugged me. "I'll see you out there. Pick a red dress. It'll go so well with your cheeks."

I laughed, embarrassed and nodded. She walked out of the room and closed the door behind her.

I started by pulling out the red dresses that were my size.

**

They called my number.

"Number 127 : Ginella Maase. Brown hair, green eyes, Caucasian." The speaker announced. I walked onto the stage, lifting up the super long, silky, bright red dress and smiled wide, seeing a million of different faces sitting in the crowd, grinning at me. "Auction 1 : 500 dollars?"

A man rose his hand. "500 dollars!"

  Another said, "560!"

The numbers got higher, 50 dollars every time. I saw the man who had ended up at 1, 800 dollars. No one rose their hand afterwards.

Suddenly, more bids flew around the room. 1,950 to 24,300 dollars. The girls in the back murmured and slowly, I began to grin truly. I was soon gonna be able to pay the debt and buy my own home soon if the numbers got just a bit higher.

"25,000 dollars." A man rose up in his chair and raised 5 stacks of cash. "Right here."

"Going once, going twice, going thrice!" The speaker spoke. "Sold to Gabriel Carmichael!"

The man who stood up had a huge smile plastered on his face. All I saw from my view was the shine of his bright white teeth. The speaker's words went back to my head.

"In an auction of stewardesses, the woman who signs and is auctioned will be sold to the man or woman for as long as the buyer wants them. If any rules are broken, the security here will take things into a matter of our own hands." The speaker had said this every time for everyone girl who had been auctioned before me. Now the words were hitting me. I was "Gabriel"'s until he wanted me gone.

"Hello, beautiful," a voice said into my right ear. It was a husky, velvety, attractive and deep voice. I froze but I looked over and gave the man a smile. He was about my age by the look of it. Gabriel had dark brown eyes and coal black hair and pale skin. He had hair that was messy but attractive and was wearing a tuxedo with a red rose, coincidentally.

"Hello," I said back to him. He smirked and then wrapped one arm around my waist.

"You're mine for tonight and as long as I want you," Gabriel told me, "And I will want you as long as you behave."

I nodded. I needed this money. I hadn't noticed it, but he had pulled me off the stage gently. "So," I blushed, "I'm Ginell--"

He gave me a look. "Ginella, I want you to listen closely. I want you to listen because I don't want to hurt you." Gabriel said quietly but sternly in my ear, gripping my hip tightly in his hand, making me yelp. He chuckled, loosening his grip. I hadn't ever been touched this way and I suddenly realized.. I liked it. "I'm taking you to my home and you're gonna stay for the night. When we get you home, I'll tell you my rules."

I nodded. I couldn't lose this money, and if I did, I'd be so upset. My hair started to make my head ache from the tight bun I managed to make. Cringing, I looked at Gabriel and his eyebrows furrowed.

"Are you okay?" He asked as he took my chin with his hand and made me look at him. I nodded again. He smiled. "You're a very good girl, Ginny."

  I blushed. "Thank you, Gabri--"

"Gabe. You can call me Gabe." He murmured in my ear and held me to his side, grinning.
