Chapter Thirty-Four.
“Well good morning.” I cooed as I entered the dining room to see, everyone circle around the dining table picking at their food. Tyler and Ron were further away from each other probably from the embarrassment of their sleeping arrangements. To my surprise Derek and Sabrina were sitting opposite next to each other their hands touching on the table, aw. I raised an eyebrow at Sabrina and her sent a sharp scowl my way, I grinned wider. I didn’t realize Derek and Sabrina slept over. I also noticed Haley stuffing a half moon shape of pancake into her huge gob. I peered past her to see an awkward bloke who I didn’t recognise picking lightly at the food provided on the table. I smiled soft, he looked so shy. He had short black hair cut to the length of two inches. His hair was slightly messy, from waking up and he wore neon green glasses on which had black patterned down the rims and base. I smiled as he met my gaze and blushed scarlet, his eyes were the most usual colour, a mix of green and the lightest blue I’d ever seen it almost looked like a grey lilac. My eyes widened at the strange colour of his eyes. Finally my gaze drifted to Dylan who was scanning my body repeatedly scowling sternly, a small growl escaped his lips. I couldn’t help but smirk slightly, that’s what you get. Bossing me about, were has the gentle guy gone which I fell for during summer break.
“I thought I told you to put some clothes on.” Dylan spoke up glaring at my clothing. I rested a hand on my chest looking offended.
“I have, don’t you like my Sunday look?” I asked as I whispered giggle escaped my lips, I walked over to the seat opposite the Sarah’s toy and sat down with the feeling of Dylan glare following me.
“Proper clothing.” He growled and I sighed “Don’t make me change again!” I whined looking him in the eyes, now I was purposely trying to piss him off. Dylan eyes narrowed as he opened his mouth but was cut off by Sarah’s toy.
“I think you look great.” He said shyly and I grinned,
“Thank you, it’s nice to be given a compliment for once.” I grinned wider noticing Dylan stiffen in his seat.
“Jesse, no one asked you what you thought!” Dylan snapped at Sarah’s toy. Jesse? That’s a cute name. Jesse frowned slouching back into his seat as he quietly ate his bacon sandwich.
“Danielle go upstai−” Dylan started but I cut him off.
“Enjoying your eggs Ron, Tyler?” I asked smiling causally at them, I decided I would ignore Dylan for the time being. Dylan sighed deeply as he had given up and sulked as he quietly ate his favourite, Pancake sandwich which was stuffed with bacon and scrambled eggs. I smiled at the memory of us going to the Little Chef in the morning of a beautiful summers day. Ron and Tyler’s heads shot up in unison as they stared at each other for a second them quickly tore they gazes away looking at me straight in the eyes. I grinned and they mirrored my expression.
“Amazing. Have you ever thought of going on Hell’s Kitchen?” Ron grinned, and Tyler laughed.
“Then at least Dylan will be ok with the amount of clothes to being wore during cooking.” Tyler smirked and Dylan head shot up as he glared at Tyler. I smirked.
“True.” I said simply as I looked around the room, noticing Ryan wasn’t there to join in with the joke.
“Where’s Ryan?” I asked my voice cracking with concern. Haley clapped her hands frantically as she made the gesture to wait as he quickly chewed down the remains of her pancake. I grinned realizing what a messy eater she was, pancake crumbles were sprinkled on the plate and on the table.
“Oh, Oh I know the answer to this one!” she said waving her hand in the air, I gave her a confused look.
“Are you still drunk?” I asked and she grinned devilishly.
“I may have slipped some strong vodka into my orange juice, but only mine, so don’t go crazy!” she exclaimed and I laughed. She scoffed a laugh at me then continued answering my question.
“Ryan just texted me, it reads. .” she trailed off as she reached up revealing a bright pink phone bedazzled with blue sticky jewels. It was so Haley. “Left to see Sarah. Sorry.” Haley smiled at her reading skills then placed her phone back into her jean pockets. I frowned that’s all? I blinked in confusion then looked down at my empty plate. I quickly grabbed food onto my plate and began to eat in silence with the rest of my friends. Once I finished I stared around at the dining table and grinned at everyone, most people mirrored back my express except Haley and Dylan. Who looked Grumpy.
“So are you guys going to be awesome and help me clean my house?” I asked raising an eye brow. Ron and Tyler Groaned but hesitantly agree with an awkward smile. I smiled gratefully at them then turned my to Sarah who rolled her eyes.
“Do I have a choice?” she asked and I grinned at my advantage.
“Nope. Being a guest at my house comes with chores, luxury right?” I grinned and she rolled her eyes with yet another groan. She yawned which made me realize why the comebacks were so little, she was sleepy. Bless? I smirked at the thought of her actually working. What a sight it would be. I finally drifted my eyes other to Dylan who looked up at me that hard scowl still plastered on his face.
“You gunna help out?” I asked politely trying not to raise my voice.
“Yes if you change.” He stated his eyes cold. I sighed then nodded. “but before we start, I need to talk to you.” He hissed and I felt a shiver of fear strike my spine.
