Everyone looked In amazement as butterflys of all patterns and colours fluttered around the house elegantly. Stars hung on the roof like silver ropes with golden misty lights. Faded baby blue shadows danced and frolicked around the room as soft laughter of children, adults and country music echoed through the room like a memory.
"Holy -" Adam whispered, running his hands through his thick wavy spruce hair in wonderment looking around the sitting room. A small dear appeared from the hallway, it fur shined in the golden fogged light and it's wide black eyes stared at Ian's as he leaned his hand towards it. In a quick instant the dear, the butterflys, the colourful misty lights, the music and laughter disappeared into dust and everything went back to normal.
Only a few seconds after the enchanting event had disappeared into smoke. Mitch walked Down the stairs rubbing his eyes, a over sized white t-shirt hung of his slim figure barely Covering his black boxers. His hair messed and tangled like a hill of crumpled autumn leaves. Colours like amber, bronze, urban and red were puzzled in to the mangled puffy mess and his amber eyes were droopy and gloomy as he rubbed the profusely.
"Guys, what's all the racket about?" Mitch yawned, cracking his neck loudly as they stared at him with gaped mouths. Mitch began to catch on what was going on, this had happened before when he was a young boy his dreams would frolic to life and would disappear into dust when he woke. He groaned loudly sitting in a large silk chair which was place next to the burning fire the flames hissing at him constantly.
"oh no, not again, please no" Mitch groaned annoyedly, putting his burning pail face into his hands and letter out a small loud yell filing his face away from his hands leaning back on the chair.
"Mitch are you ok? And what do you mean 'not again' has this happened before?" Jason asked, everyone had sat down and leaned forward eager to here about Mitch's secret, he sighed.
" the thing were my dreams come to life, yes, when I was about nine?eight? I don't know but that's when it started, my dreams would come to life and of cause my parents kept it quiet but then one night something els came to life, my nightmares and that's the thing that killed my parents"
"What, Mitch your parents live in-"
" their not my real parents Quinton, their my foster parents, they adopted me a couple of months after my ..." Mitch stopped, he breathed deep heavy breath as he stared at the sparking fire blankly and hit tears rolled down his red cheeks, he chuckled slightly.
"Parents died, after they just disappear with nothing except a bloody machete and my father's dogtags, ha who knew that nightmares could be so deadly" Mitch felt a strong hand his leg and crouching infront of him was Adam, his chocolatety hair waved into small curles and his dark voided eyes and misted iris stared at him comforting, rubbing up and down his leg.
"Mitch we're so sorry, but why didn't you tell us, does anyone know?" Adam said softly, Mitch scoffed and laughed slightly shaking his head firmly.
" Adam I would of been carted of if anyone els knew I'll tell you that now"
Adam sighed, looked up at him with warm eyes and wiped the tears with his thumb as the others disappeared up stairs mumbling inaudible sentences, Mitch looked down at Adam with a grateful exasperation plastered on his face as Adam stood up stretching his hand out.
" Come on you, let's gets some sleep, need any help"
Mitch chuckled and took the hand letting Adam's pull him from the warm silky fire and walked up stairs, but bedit he shut his bedroom door, Adam called his name.
" Mitch, don't feel like you have to keep secrets from us especially me, ok?"
Adam's face was filled with truth and kindness, he could trust that, he rarely saw it.
"Ok, I trust you"
Mitch walked into his room and calapssed on his warm bed, his heart ached for some reason, like it was yearning for something or someone. Mitch turned on his side where the Window was in view, and the silver moon beamed over him. Mitch sighed, it was Adam, he always got that feeling when he was around Adam. Why Adam? Well he didn't know, his appearance? His voice? His personality? Only his heart knows but it was Adam. Maybe Adam was the one?
"No, Adams just a friend, a really really... really good friend, that's all"
Mitch told himself this in a harsh whisper, he needed to stay away from relationships for a while, it would be for the best.
