When I woke up that morning to get ready for work, I almost couldn't climb out of my bed my torso hurt so bad. Ugh how was I going to explain this to the boss? I was limping so much it looked like I had a metal hip! I need ice. And pain killers!
Walking to the kitchen to get my necessities, I couldn't help but think about how I was going to get that guy to offer me that place in her school. Would he follow me up or would I just have to find him myself? Oh how I hope he finds me again. Or maybe he would be in the same place he saw me yesterday! Maybe after work I can walk that way again and he will be there! But would it be that simple? Oh man. If only he had given me one of those stupid business cards that those salesmen give out with their number on it or something. That would have been so wonderful. But no, he just had to be mysterious!

Once I got to work, I was immediately greeted by my boss\boyfriend, Hank. He's tall and muscular with short spiky black hair. He is quite attractive if I do say so myself. We have been together for quite along time but just a few weeks ago things started to go south.
Lets just say that things weren't going well in the love subject.
"Where did you go yesterday? You left early without me saying you could." He said with a sneer.
"Well I'm terribly sorry. I just needed to get home because... er my... dog was sick."
"You are a terrible liar Miss. Roberts. You don't even have a dog."
Caught me there.
Well, if I was a terrible liar Mr. Despuce, you would have figured out by now that I am seventeen, almost eighteen, not twenty two. I thought to myself.
"Got me there Hank! Ha ha. Now its time I got to work..." I said, slipping away slowly.
"Oh not so fast Miss. Roberts." He said, snagging me by my shirt and pulling me back to face him. "First of all don't call me Hank. It's Mr. Despuce. Second of all, you need to tell me why you left early last night. Or else, no pay check for this month."
"Jeez Hank! Isn't that a bit harsh?"
"It's... Not... Hank!" He yelled at me with anger. "Mr. Despuce! MR. DESPUCE! God, how many times do I have to tell you?!"
"Come on Hank. I'm your girlfriend. I am not about to go around calling you Mr. Despuce. People are going to think things aren't going well between us!" I said sarcastically.
"Your the one who said we should take a break! And to tell you the truth that is not what it's about."
"Yes it is. Your mad at me that I didn't sleep with you! I told you that it was over and now you won't let me call you Hank. That's quite cruel. You have to admit."
"I'm not going to admit anything, Juliet. You need to accept the fact that I'm the boss here, and you my employee."
"And I'm also your girlfriend and---"
"Shut UP, Juliet! Just shut up!"
I was so surprised to here him yelling at me like that. He never yells at me and to tell you the truth, I found it quite attractive the way his face gets all scrunched up when he gets angry. So I stuck my hand out for a high five. He looked at me weirdly for a second and then grudgingly slapped it and turned to get to work.
"I love you!" I yelled after him.
"Oh yeah sure." He said over his shoulder.

"Bartender! Two more shots please!"
"Aw common! Aren't you already drunk enough?!" I whispered to myself. "OK coming right up!" I said to the drunken.
"Juliet!" Hank yelled across the bar.
Couldn't he just leave me to getting the shots in peace?!
"Yes?" I said annoyed.
"I need some assistance here." he said though it sounded quite odd the way he said it, almost as if he were in pain. So I walked slowly over to the employees closet just in case...
When I entered my cheesy smile faded. Hank was pinned against a wall with a black eye. The man that held him there had his back to me and his arms wrapped around Hank tightly. Hank looked over the mans shoulder at me with pleading eyes. My mind reeled. Should I ditch and run? That sounded really good to me. I put my finger to my mouth and ever so carefully I crept out the door. Half way through, I heard Hank screech.
"NO!" He yelled "Don't leave!"
And as you can imagine that completely blew my cover.
The man holding Hank spun around and his eyes widened.
"You again?" I said annoyed "I thought I injured you enough last night. Have you come back for more?"
"I guess I just wanted to see if you are as good as you were last night." he answered.
"Shall we test that now?" I challenged.
And with that, the man charged me at full force keeping his head down aiming for me stomach. I retaliated by spinning around a slapping across the face.
Not my best defence, I admit, but hey. It worked. Sorta.
"That's all you've got?!" He laughed "I would have thought that you would have something better up your sleeve"
"Funny." I said "I was thinking the same thing."
That must have made him mad because he threw a punch at me right at my face, but I blocked it with a swipe of my forearm, knocking the punch out of harms way. I then retaliatred by side kicking him in the theigh, knocking him on the ground. I took this chance to pounce on top of him on his back and putting him in a head lock.
"Your getting... beaten by a girl... Shouldnt you be... doing better?!" I said through breaths.
"It's kinda... hard when... you cant BREATHE!" He said as he struggled.
"Well then... Give up and go home!" I suggested
"Never." He answered flattly.
I waited there until he slowly slipped into unconciecness.
"HANK?! I mean what the heck?! You could have helped a bit maybe?!" I yelled after the man was over with.
"Well I'm sorry. It looked like you were doing fine without my help." He answered innocently.
"Oh yeah it was just going great. A tiny little girl like me against a huge, massive, fat guy like him?! He's like a hippo! Ginormous and dangerous." I said as I threw my hands in the air.
"Oh yeah like your tiny. HA! That's the funniest thing I've heard all day. Why dont we just get back to work."
"OK, so I'm not that tiny, but help wouldnt have hurt. And no, I'm not going back to work. I'm going home. My toreso hurts form yesterdays fight and--"
"Oh so you faught yesterday too?! God, Juliet your like a monster!"
"Oh yeah OK, let's just totally disregaurd the fact that I totally saved your sorry butt from the man that would have killed you if it weren't for me!" I yelled louder than I ment. "At least I know how to actually defend myself! You couldn't throw a punch even if you wanted to!"
"I could too if you would let me!" He yelled back at me.
"If I would let you?! That's a load of crap! You are just so full of it, you are! If it weren't for me, you wouldn't know how to do anything! You are so... UNGREATFUL!"
And with that, I stormed out of the clostet, leaving Hank to think to himself.
