"Hey kid." Charlie greeted me when he came home shortly after Nick had left through my window.

"Hey Charlie."

"What happened to your eye?"

"Oh..uh...I kinda tripped down the stairs and hit it on the banister." I tell him hesitantly.

"Wow. I knew you were clumsy but not that clumsy."

"Yeah. Liz mentioned that you were plotting something. Can I know?" I ask changing the topic.

"Well today's our anniversary so I was going to take her out to dinner." Charlie replies while scratching the back of his hand. I knew right away that there was something else.

"What else? You can trust me, I'm good at keeping things from her."

Charlie chuckled before he finally told me, "I'm proposing." Charlie's proposing to that psycho?!? But this being Charlie I could be nothing but supportive.

"That's great!" I tell him as honestly as I can as I give him a big hug. "So what do I get to do while your gone?"

"Well since my mom and sister are gone for the week and your sister and I are going to be busy, I asked Macey if you could stay with them for a few days so Liz and I can have the house to ourselves." A few days away from my sister? Count me in!

"Oh okay. So when should I head over there?" Please say soon. Please say soon.

"Go pack your things now. Liz and I are headed out in half an hour." I ran for my room then and was packed within ten minutes and at the bottom of the stairs. As soon as I reached the last step my phone vibrated so I pulled it out to see a new text from Nick.

Nick: ready for some fun these next couple of days?!?!

Me: TOTALLY!! lol I'm headed over now so see you soon.

After the text sent I headed out the door to go to Nick's but was stopped by a voice.

"What are you up to?" I turn to see someone that I don't recognize. He was taller than me, but that doesn't take much, and he seemed slightly intimidating.

"Um..."

"Are you going to Nick's?" How did he know?

"How did you-"

"I'd stay away from Nick if I were you."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"It means," he says and comes closer to me and now I can see him more clearly. His black hair slightly fell into his eyes, his piercing, ice cold, blue eyes. "That Nick is trouble and that if you're smart, you'll stay away from him." After saying that he turned away from me and stalked off down the road.

I wait until he's out of view before I run down to Nick's house. Just as I step onto the pathway leading up to the porch Nick steps out of his house and being me and unable to hide my excitement I run up to him and launch myself into his arms.

"Well hi to you too." he chuckles.

"Sorry. Just really happy to get away." I say while tucking a piece of hair behind my ear. Nick brings his hand up to my face and gently strokes the bruise around my eye, causing me to flinch. He quickly pulls away then as soon as he saw me flinch back. "It's not your fault."

"Yes it is." he says looking down at me, giving me a look I can't quite name. "It's my fault that you're hurt. She beat you because of me."

"No Nick. Don't think that." I say taking his face in my hands. "Don't ever think that it's your fault." Being with Nick, like this, felt natural. It feels like this is what is supposed to be.

"It's always been my fault." Nick says quietly.

"What do you mean?"

"You remember nothing do you?" he muttered to himself.

"You mean from before my accident then no. I don't remember anything. I wish I did. I wish every single day."

"You heard me and Jax didn't you?"

"Yeah. Can you tell me if I at least knew you?"

"Charlie told me never to tell you unless you showed some sign of remembering. How badly do you want to know?"

"Pretty badly. Please tell me. I'll even tell you what she did. Please. I just want to remember." As soon as the words left my mouth Nick pulled me close to him and gently placed his lips on mine.

Flashback:

"I love you Lark." he told me as he pulled me into him and kissed me.

End of Flashback

We soon pulled away from each other and I knew my eyes were wide with shock and confusion.

"Lark?" Nick asked concerned. It was him. In my memory. He told me he loved me and kissed me. "Lark what's wrong? I'm sorry I shouldn't have done that."

"No. No it's fine. It's just I remembered something." Nick's eyes widened at that.

"What did you remember? Please tell me it was something about us." A grin started to form on my face and to hide some of my excitement I bit my lip and looked down at our feet before responding with a nod of my head.

"I remembered you."
