Episode Two : Good Morning

I opened my eyes slowly to the blinding light that woke me up from a very pleasant dream. My room smelt like lavender which was very odd, sa pagkakaalala ko strawberry yung scented candles na ginagamit sa kwarto ko. Wow, my head was pounding and the light from the windows seemed to pierce through the windows straight to my eyes. I find a beautiful light fixture hanging up above me – kalian pa ko nagka-chandelier sa kwarto? Nasaan nga ba kasi ko? Nakauwi ba ko? The curtains behind the bed were sunny yellow, bringing life to the plain white walls of the room. The smell of the room was very relaxing, easing the throbbing in my head. It's a nice room, pero still, kinakabahan pa din ako. Naku, patay ako kay daddy nito! Nalasing yata ko kagabi?

"Ms. Cham? Gising ka na?" a man in a plain white polo entered the room and bowed, fixing his eyeglasses when he looked at me again.

"Ah, opo. Nasa'n po ko?" I asked nervously. The guy seemed friendly. I really hope I wasn't kidnapped or anything!

"Make yourself at home. This is Deniels' residence." He answered with a smile.

"Deniel?" I asked murmured. Parang narinig ko na 'yun.

"Sir Richard took you home last night. Nasobrahan ka daw ng inom, and you passed out. Buti na lang si Richard ang kasama mo. Kung hindi baka napahamak ka." He muttered. Kagabi? Oo nga no? I was at the bar with Patty and Nadine... I was talking to that familiar guy.

"Ah, so Richard pala pangalan niya." I tried to remember what we talked about last night, but the memory was vague.

"My name's Ryan nga pala. I'm Richard's caretaker." He introduced. Caretaker? He seemed too young to be a caretaker. Mukha pa silang magkapatid.

Suddenly, the door behind Ryan bursts open and two ladies in heels and dresses come running inside.

"Hi, good morning, Ms. Cham!" The one with long hair said as she smiled. I looked at them in wonder. Seems like Richard is one rich kid. Ang dami niyang tauhan. "Ako nga pala si Julia, and this is Pia. Sabi ni Richard, we take care of you and prepare you for breakfast. Shall we start?" She muttered, clapping her hands. Pia looked excited herself.

"Iwan na kita sa kanila. Sila nang bahala sa'yo. They'll guide you with everything." He handed a small bottle to Pia. "That's hangover medicine. Iwan ko muna kayo." When he finally left the room, dali-daling tumakbo 'yung dalawa to my bed. They were quick to eye me from my hair to the tips of my nails, to the last skin visible. I'm guessing these two are stylists, pero I'll just see what they will do. I'm in dire need of a new stylist anyway.

"In fairness, natural ang beauty mo. It won't be hard para sa'min. Let's go?" Pia said as he gently pulled me up from the bed and dragged me outside to another room by the end of the hallway. Pagpasok ko palang, binulaga na ko ng mga blue-dressed yayas, ready for a total make-over. I was pushed to the bathroom with a tub ready for me, petals floating and covering the whole tub. I find a few familiar products over the counter, one brand covers them all – Saure.

I took a quick bath since hindi ko naman bahay 'to, but enough para mawala 'tong amoy beer. After I stepped out the bathroom in a robe, the two stylists were already debating what I should wear. The maids were holding different dresses, all branded (I'm keen for brand names!), and the two were choosing between a yellow and a red dress.

"Which one do you prefer?" Julia suddenly asks. Hinila naman ako ni Pia to sit down in front a vanity mirror with make-up and hair tools all over. I'm not so sure why I'm needing a make-over now, pero nakakahiya naman kung hihindi ako.
