The little human looked up from where she stood. Her eyes shimmered in the sunlight that hit the falling leaves and her pupils.
This little flesh with a smile was named Chloe.Chloe was 17 and she was the one who loved reading a good book, but she's very timid. After her parents death, she didn't think as straight as before.
She lived alone in an apartment with an abusive uncle. It was clear she had to move, but where?
She still needed hundred of dollars to pay for her, or her uncle's, rent. She had no job yet, and income is very hard in a city like this.
Chloe pushed the negative thoughts away and stared at the towering red barked trees. Chloe smiled as she spotted a tree she could climb.
Her small form started climbing and saw, from each point she stopped, how far she's gone. Smiling wider, she climbed all the way to the top. Her eyes widened at the view. A breathtaking view of trees making waves in the ocean of leaves. Orange mixing with other rich colors.
A soft breeze came behind Chloe as she watched some leaves ruffle along with the gust. She looked behind her and saw the city. She grunted. She did have her book bag down there with everything she owns. She could leave this place and start a new life.
Chloe nodded to her self and ajduted the strap around her." Time for a new life!" She leaped and landed on a nearby branch.
She repeated this, going deeper in the woods, that the trees seemed to get bigger by the mile.
Infact, the bark seemed way to large, and the grass is either shrubs or over grown.
Lil does our main character know she has passed a metal gate with a sign reading 'STAY OUT IF YOU VUALUE YOURE LIFE'.
Thought she didn't see it, it didn't seem bad, just a bit more nature.
Chloe stopped on a 3 feet thick branch. She leaned over, trying to catch her breath. It worked and she got up again. It was sunset when she looked threw the giant leaves.
Wait.
Chloe went to the edge of the branch, witch had two leaves. Compared to her, they where taller than herself. Around 2 inches bigger. To her of coarse.
Small earthquakes gave out.
Chloe tried to balance herself on the brachial she perched. Nope. Gravity was a bad thing, and let her plumet down.
Chloe held her bag close to her chest. She wasn't crying, because then she felt some leather like ground under her.
She turned her head slowly and widened her eyes. No.
No...it couldn't be...right?
Her idea was proven wrong as she saw a closer look at the figure.
Dammit.
