Shane's Point of View~
Skyler and I walked home together silently, as I was not fond of the first day of school today.
She broke the silence with her calming, sweet voice, "Well my first day sucked, how was yours Shane?"
I gave her a nasty glare, and took a deep breath to try and control my bubbling anger within me. "It was fine," I started off. Not being able to hold back any longer, I screamed letting back all my anger for the day, "Don't even get me started on that wretched hell hole! I hate all the teachers there because they don't give shit about you, and everyone goes on with their day like nothing is wrong with it!"
"I'm sorry," muttered Skyler quietly, "I know that it's a touchy subject for you, and I still brought it up, how ever more you didn't want me to."
We walked for two more blocks before anything else was said between us, "I'm sorry I yelled at you, it's just that you and I are completely different from each other, you with all the friends and popularity, and me trying to fall along in your shadow. Sometimes it's just frustrating of all the assholes in that building, that I take my rage out on you. I'm sorry."
"It's okay, Shane. Hey do you know what day it is?"
"Uh.. It's Tuesday. What's so special about a Tuesday?" I question, unsure of what she is leading to.
"It's upload day!"Skyler shouted with a new excitement from deep within her. Upload day is a tradition we do together every Sunday and Tuesday that our famous YouTuber, Tyler Oakley, uploads a video onto his YouTube channel. Whether it's from advice, to blogs, to hype about his new book, Tyler always is sure to get a good laugh from Sky and I.
"I wonder what his video is going to be about today?"
"Maybe it's about Binge?"
"Or about Snervous?"
"Or Troye?"
"Fangirl moment!" we both shout and start bouncing up and down with the pure obsession that we both have with their relationship. Yes, we watch and enjoy other YouTubers, but he has got to be one of our favorites.
We playfully argue back in forth about who would be the better wife for Tyler, even though we both know that it will never happen in a million years. With the past day behind us, we stroll up the broken, stone stairs that lead up the path to our home. The Orphanage.
Both of us got put in the orphanage at young ages, Sky coming in at 7, and myself coming in at 10. We have a long story behind us, both coming from different families. Since Sky lived at the orphanage way before I came, she kind of became my new friend and showed me the ropes. I had lived on my own for a while, so it was hard for me to adapt to living with a group of 20-30 children.
"Why are you two late?" angrily retorted our evil Headmistress, Annabelle. "You said school ended at 3:00, why are you just coming back home now? It's almost 4:30."
"We're sorry, it took a while to walk home," Sky says, jumping to my aid like she normally does.
"Well it shouldn't take you that long. You two don't even have dinner! Go inside and make yourself useful. There's an inspection tonight and you little brats better be on your best behavior. Or else." Annabelle threatens us menacingly.
I look towards Sky with a smirk knowing tonight will be different from other nights.Whenever there is an inspection or special guest at The Orphanage, Annabelle is nice to anyone that is within her presence. She got fired previously from other jobs because of a few incidents, and likes the decent pay she receives from the state each month.
"So we did our chores yesterday, do you think we have anything else to do before dinner?"
"I don't think so," I respond, "Let's just tidy up so we don't have to lose our laptop again. Remember the last inspection Sky? We didn't have it back for an entire month."
"Yeah I remember."
Once we reach the top of the stairs, we slowly open the door to our room. We are greeted by the aroma of cleaning chemicals that were used yesterday to clean, and the second-hand clothes that line our small closet. Even though it isn't much, I do still feel at home and at peace with this small room.
We tidy up around the room, picking up clothes from this morning, and cleaning out our backpacks from the day. I sweep away any dirt that may have been tracked in, into a small dustpan, and Sky walks downstairs to throw it away.
"Well I think that's it for now, what do you want to do now?" asks Sky as she returns to the room.
"Well it is upload day," I remind with a smirk on my face, and we both take a seat on my bed with the laptop between us.

FanfictionImagine being adopted by the one and only Tyler Oakley? Seems pretty far-fetched from reality, but for Shane and Skyler, its anything but fiction.
