Why Did You Walk Away?

Why?

It was a lazy September morning and Lein had walked into a diner after her morning jog. Alfred said he need to talk to her, so she ordered a coffee and sat at a booth and stared out the window and admired the beautifully colored leaves as she waited for her boyfriend.

About ten minutes later a tall blonde man walked into the diner and tried his best to hide his troubled thoughts, as he sat down the young girl's honey colored eyes sparkled and she asked "So what did you want to talk about Alfred?"

His blue eyes looked at her solemnly and he sighed 'now or never I guess... ' he thought to himself then he took a breath and said "Lien I...I think we should see other people."

Lein felt her heart snap in two her mind was racing and she struggled to say "...why?..." her usual calm and cool appearance was gone.

Alfred stood up and said "the magic is gone...I'm sorry." he stuffed his hands in his pockets and left without another word. As he walked away he texted Natalya "Hey meet me at my place.". The reason why he broke up with Lein was not because he didn't love her anymore its just that he didn't want to hurt her, he had failed at being her hero so why keep trying if it would only hurt her more?

Meanwhile Lein was still sitting there and just stared at her coffee. Filled with anger and sadness she ran home and screamed as she threw plates and pictures of them until she was satisfied. Then once she cleaned up she decided to put this behind her and move on with life. She would become stronger!
