My butt hurts, from being so perfect all the time. How does that work? I don't know. It just hurts. Isn't it a pain in the ass to always be this perfect? Beauty is pain.
But, of course. Those are just my thoughts on ass pain.
First day of my second year at High School. Summer was finally over, and I get to see "all" my friends now. It wasn't easy for me to stay away my phone, because they kept texting me 24/7. It was finally time for the texting mayhem to end, and for them to talk to me in real life. My eyes finally get a rest from the bright screen of my phone, blinking with their spam filled with gossip.
The first person I see as I arrive at school is obviously, Tyler.
"My baby is growing!" I said to him as I approached him for a hug. Tyler, otherwise known as Ty, is my best friend in the entire world. I don't think I can live without him. People often say it's weird to have my best friend as a boy, and they most obviously want to push us into a romantic relationship. The ship has been practically buzzing throughout the school since the first day I met Ty, which was when we were just 5 years old. But as much as everyone ships me with him, I know that we are just amazing friends and that's all it's gonna be.
Ty laughed and said, "Well this baby will get lunch free today if he wins a staring contest with his Mama, who is soooo much bigger and soooo much taller than me (note the sarcasm*). Unless, of course, Mama is chicken and wants to back out." That just made me grab his face and stare at him.
This is what I love about him. He can be just the right amount of goofy and still be awesome.
I smirked, staring into his greenish blue eyes as he returned the gesture and stared into my own pair of chocolatey eyes. People started gathering around, and Ty's eyes started twitching. My eyes were burning, but of course, I had to put on a calm expression.
I hated the fact that he had such beautiful eyes, and I only have these plain, brown ones. Oh well, I can't have everything.
The cheerleaders on my squad started shouting my name and cheering for me, while the guys on Ty's baseball team started shouting his name. The battle of our eyes was overthrown by their battle of "Who will scream our names the loudest", and I knew this was the best way to start the new year.
Ty, being the idiot he is, obviously lost to me. I was grinning as I entered my first class, which ironically was with tylor.
"You owe ME lunch now." I snickered, as Ty opened the door for me.
I stepped into the classroom and saw Anna and Feo waiting for me, they are my "Girl Squad". Ty came with his friends Brent and Quinn, right after I joined my squad. The funny thing was my entire squad was dating Ty's squad except us, so they want us to date to make it perfect. But since him and I are best friends, I'd rather not.
I chose the seat at the front because Science is my favorite subject and I wanted good grades. Bad thing about sitting in the front, I was in the middle of the guys who I know wouldn't let me concentrate. Ty sat in the chair which was located right in the middle of the cheerleading squad (it's pretty obvious they left a seat for him there so they could drool over him, instead of paying attention to the class. Same way the guys did for me.)
As the rest of the class entered, the teacher waltzed in. She surprisingly looked nice, with her blonde hair up, in a loose bun, and her green eyes sparkling with energy. This was unusual because she was a teacher and most teachers at this school looked either stressed, tired or high on something (they say it's only coffee but I'm still curious). The teachers usually looked like zombies and they wanted us to learn about dead people so, who knows. But she looked different and I guess my science class would remain my favorite class this year .
I looked around, to see most of the boys drooling at her, even Ty was, except this one guy sitting all alone, distracted by his notebook. He looked oddly familiar, but then again I follow so many people on Instagram that I can't be sure. He looked up, catching me staring at him, and instead of feeling awkward or "happy", like most guys usually would. He smiled back and looked down at his notebook. It was very unusual for me to see guys not really giving me attention. I may not want the attention but I was kind of used to it.
Although, this guy is strange and it's weird that I don't mind him being strange.
The teacher introduced herself as Ms. Mathews and asked us all to get into a circle. I automatically moved towards where the girls were sitting and Ty and his "guy gang" moved to the left. Eventually, after a few minutes of moving from one place to another, we formed a big circle. Ms. Mathews in the middle. She asked us to come one by one and introduce ourselves. She told us to say our real name, what we would like to be called and one thing that we love to do.
After a few people spoke, it was my turn. I stood up with confidence and said, "My name is Levana Heartland, you can call me Lev, and I love cheerleading." Almost every girl in the class shouted "Yeah!" at the exact same time as if this was pre-planned. How do they do that? Telepathy? (Illuminati?)
As the circle went on it was the turn of the guy I was staring at. When he spoke, there was a voice that most girls would drool about, as it was what girls would call "the creamiest voice ever". Hah, girl language.
He said "My name is, Je... er... Junny Un, you can call me Junny and one thing I love to do is observe things."
Ms. Mathews just stared at him for about 10 minutes as if she had seen an alien, because it was unusual for a guy to say something like that. I could tell she was interested in what he had to say. I guess he was just trying to impress her, new student tricks never die.
Next was my little baby Ty, I know he is much taller and much bigger than me but inside he is still a baby. After all, he's one of the most childish and idiotic people I know. He took advantage of the situation and said "My name is Ty Tagle and I would like to be called Mad Dog." Ms. Mathew's curiosity diminished when Ty said that, and it turned into a face that most teachers had at school but she knew he was only joking. The classroom erupted in giggles and laughter.
Everyone from behind him screamed "Ty" the name he goes by, and Ms. Matthews wrote something down (pretty sure it wasn't Mad Dog).
After the giggles suppressed, Ty continued. "I like eating pizza, a lot."
I just laughed for I knew he loves saying idiotic things like this, because he knows, girls will be going head over heels for him, and he was indirectly asking for pizza. That's the only way he is getting lunch, now isn't it.
After the circle of introduction ended, we were told to make a group of 3 with one girl and 2 boys (the boy girl ratio was 2:1 ). I was asked by, like, trillions of boys, but I had my standards. I couldn't be going to houses of boys who will most likely take my virginity away, or at least try to. The boys went off with other girls, and I needed another guy. There was only one left, Junny.
Ms. Mathews assigned us topics, things we were supposed to observe. my group was called the "star squad" for we were told to observe the pattern of the stars. We were all told to discuss our topic.
"This is Ty by the way. Don't call him Mad Dog." I said while looking at Junny.
"No problem Levana." He replied
"Lev. It's Lev. I only go by Lev." Even Ty had a strange face on him when I said that, he had never seen me so ... defensive. But I'm only ever this defensive with my name.
Junny gave me a slight smirk and asked "That's your name, why would you want me to call you something else?"
"Because I said so, ok?" I snapped back.
I sighed, then said "I'm sorry. Let's move on with the topic, so to observe stars we have to do it everyday for a month in the same place to get accurate results. So who's house is on dibs?"
They both simultaneously replied "yours". They laughed at their synchronized answer and high five'd.
I had no choice but to say yes. Plus, I needed a good grade and it was better if it was a place I was used to.
Realisation struck me, "I will get to sleep under the stars, which is surely gonna be fun" I said to myself.
I started to hope so but then I realise, hope is for suckers.
