While we put ourselves together to figure out the problem, a shocking event faced us all. One of the maintenance buildings of the resort has blown up, and were lucky that it was a kilometer awar from the mail resort The hufe fireball lit the mountain side with a tremendous fiery. We knew something was going on at that moment. There were no other people by the sands, so I had something in mind. I waited around patiently for the time to explore the dark resort. As the two young adults stood by us, they bothered to introduce themselves.
"Hey, by the way... My name is Kevin, and this is my younger brother Jacob." I smiled as I proudly introduced myself too along with my twin. "Hey, it's nice to meet you guys! I'm Sunshine and this is my sister Adeline." I got along well with Kevin as he was near my age. Kevin was 21 while I was 20. jacob was the shy type and chose to lean over the porch railings as spot for human movements. He may be only 17, but he looks pretty mature like his brother. As soon as we got along well, it was then I informed them that we had to do something.
"Guys, we need to search for people... Things have been getting strange around here eversince... We should help ourselves to combat the darkness of the beach..." As I spoke those words, they all turned to me and gave me that serious look. Everyone seemed getting into it until my sister bursted out laughing. Kevin smiled a moment, and followed with his brother laughing at my mysterical behavior. "But guys??? I'm serious! We need to find mom and dad... NOW!!!" Adeline nodded, and the two brothers stepped down the porch. As Adeline had one extra flashlight, she handed it off to Jacob. We ventured to the resort's main building as the moonlight added the starry eyed silence of the dark. Kevin was behind me as he followed the light I projected. Jacob and Adeline were at the back as they seemed to be talking about horror things. I looke back at my front as I began to see the luminous glow of the dark visitor's center. As we knew dad and mom weren't in their cottage, we made our way to the visitor's center where we knew they were having dinner of some sort. The building was dark, we entered to find numerous people roaming around. Most of the people were know to be maintenace personel. Other guests sat by the benches as the staff tried to calm them of the pitch black situation. Our group roamed around as we looked for our parents.
"Hey Kevin, Jacob... Who are you with in this resort???" I asked in curiosity as they seemed to be both alone in the resort. "Duhhh... Our uncle is the owner of this resort!" I was shocked as I was actually talking to one VIP. "Really?! Why didn't you say so?!" He chuckled while Jacob smiled as he left. We proceeded to the dinning room where we found numerous candles lit around each table. We knew the candles even stayed when there was light, so it functioned both as an emergency lighting, and a decorative item. Adeline and I looked around as we tried looking for our parents. She pulled out her phone to dial mom once more, still no answer. Kevin tapped the back of a butler as he asked what was going on.
"Ah sir... The power has been cut by an unknown reason, but the towers to the substation were fallen..." The butler explained little as Kevin asked some more questions. "But I thought Sunset Beach had a back-up genera --" Kevin was cut as the butler explained further of the situation. "Sir, the generator room has just blown up due to un unknown reason..." All of us stood there frozen as we knew of the real truth to the eerie event. We turned around as we decided to leave the visitor's center. The purity of the sand tickled my feet as its fineness made the sand filter out in between my toes. We decided to go at the outdoor island bar where we knew a large bonfire was always lit. As we spotted the infuriating flame, we began to walk faster as we found numerous people by the the flames. There were more personel and guests around. Most of them were holding up their phones as they tried contacting their lost family members, just like me and Adeline, but why won't our parents answer? I saw our aunt by the people as I rushed to ask where our parents were. "Oh, they said they were on their way to the privacy cottages." I thanked our aunt as we walked away, but wait, where are the privacy cottages located? I asked Kevin as he immediately replied. "Over there by the mountain side..." We left the area as we proceeded to the dark mountain side, where the "privacy" cottages were told to be located.
