A Not So Friendly Encounter

A sudden rush of the crisp night air pushed through the ivory curtains covering the slightly open bay window. It hummed, or seemed to carry a melody throughout the dimly lit room. I outstretched my hand, letting my porcelain-like skin soak in the beam of moonlight. A slivery shimmer occurred along my exposed forearm and fingertips, reminding me of my curse. It's never noticeable unless my inner spirit is intensely heightened. Full moons tended to be one of the causes.
I sighed in a melancholy manner as I pulled my arm back into the shadows. I let my tired eyes lightly scan the room, catching a glimpse of a very small object gliding through my window. I slid my legs over the bed feeling the cold wood floor underneath my bare feet. My beautifully long and luscious hair spilled down my back as I stood up slowly. It was a color of an unnatural sort, not one that people are born with; blacker than the darkest abyss in the ocean.
I walked over to the window seat, seeing a pebble at the base. I raised an eyebrow, just about to pick it up when another one soared past my head. I pushed the window all the way open, peering down at the source of the flying pebbles. The corner of my mouth turned up slightly at the sight of him. I noticed him blushing greatly, something that the normal eye wouldn't catch at this distance.
"It's a tad bit chilly to have your window open tonight", he called out playfully, his British accent melting what little heart I had. It was in that instant that I remembered I was only in a black tank top and underwear. I shrugged lightly before commenting.
"I didn't want to risk a boulder being hurtled through my glass windows", I said dryly.
"Boulder? These are merely just pebbles, dear", he replied, gesturing to a small one being pinched between his thumb and index finger. I chuckled at that softly and gave him a mischievous look.
"So....are you coming up here? Or and I going down there?", I said with a grin. He made his decision, quickly climbing up the vines that lead to my window. He pulled himself onto the window seat and let out a puff of air. I slid on my silky black house coat before taking a seat next to him. I wasn't exactly certain, but there was something peculiar about him.
"Your eyes are shining a little brighter this evening", he pointed out, followed by a wide smile. I knew he was referring to how my eyes tended to glow on nights like this. During the day, my pure silver eyes glitter as if thousands of tiny diamonds were clustered inside of them. It was the same way in the evening, but sometimes they have this illuminating effect. Especially on full moons.

I looked at him, fully taking in his presence. He was one of the most beautifully crafted beings I've ever seen. All the way from his tousled coffee brown hair, ocean blue eyes, to his chiseled jawline and body. I almost pushed away my uneasiness at first, but I caught sight of a shadow lingering in the corner. This gave my guest the perfect opportunity to plunge a curved dagger firmly into my ribcage.
It was in that instant that I was overwhelmed with a wave of nausea, nearly causing me to retch all over the place. I fell off of the seat, hearing a deafening crack as my head came into contact with the floor. I looked through heavy eyes, feeling them droop as my vision blurred and my thoughts grew cloudy. I looked up at my guest, watching the shadow join into him as one, his eyes turning solid black. He grinned, showing off a set of razor sharp teeth and chuckled maniacally as he kneeled down by my limp body. My blood pooled around me and my breaths became shallow.
"I wonder if you taste as good as you look", he sneered. He sank his teeth into my neck, causing me to let out a weak cry for I was unable to muster enough energy to scream. The pain soon turned to bliss as my eyes rolled into the back of my head and everything disappeared into a sea of nothingness.
