Chapter VIII: Rebirth and Awakening

'Where am I? I can't speak...am I alone here?'

'No Alexis or should I say Princess Samantha...you're still healing and awakening from the barrier and protection spell that the wizards had put on you...You're turning back into your original self...someone who was hidden from you beneath all the facade that the mirror had shown you which you thought was you.'

'what?'

'You're turning back to Princess Samantha, physically and mentally.'

'Wait, are they gonna erase my memories?'

'Most of your memories as Alexis will be erased.'

'Then I'll lose my memories of my Papa, Mama, and my big sisters? even Mike?'

'probably.'

'Oh---well if it's for the best then.'

'It is the best option.'

'a few hours or minutes from now you may be able to walk and your voice would be different, physically and mentally...so I better go now since they can't do that while I'm still communicating with you telepathically.'

'okay tell them better not put any injections on me'

'that's too formal, call me Samantha or Sam. What's your name?'

And then I felt something warm surrounding my body...it was overwhelming although it did hurt a tad like you're having your hyperacidity or dysmenorrhea or something---it just felt different---painful yet I feel lighter I feel-----

'Victor, Victor Al Nuevo? But I thought he was a friend?'

'Victor's wife Elizabeth was Henry's old fiance...He impregnated her that's why she was forced to marry Victor.'

'But didn't the Henry love Seraphine?'

'He did learn to love his wife later---Seraphine was someone admirable...she is a strong hearted woman, she won't back down unless forced to...I know this because Seraphine was a close relative of mine."

'What happened to Seraphine?was she killed?'

'No, right now she's in another country hiding with her family.'

'Only Samantha would know where...she has her father's power. She inherited the chameleon side.'

'well, that's great!'

'Morgan where were you in all of this?'

'I was still studying medicine in another country. I may look older but Henry is about 5 years older than I am!'

'I know.'

'Anyways we must hide Samantha from everything else. Let's keep her memories somewhere else.'

'Papa, where is this place?'

'You're in a hospital, Alexis.'

'Alexis?so that's my name'

'Yes dear.'

'It was Victor who sent his men to kill the King"

it was Victor who SENT his men to KILL the King.'

"Katieline, Victor is moving again."

"What do you mean?"

"He's looking for the whereabouts of the castle. He needs to find all the Royal Heirloom passed down from Henry's ancestor."

"He's also looking for Seraphine to make sure that no one would steal the treasure away from him once he finds it."

"I think it's time we make a move...but how?We're useless against the spellcasters...the wizards have been getting weaker and weaker and even the other creatures like the witches, other chameleons, shapeshifters, and werewolves...so far the vampires are the only species that are active. We really don't know what to do with him anymore, we, faes are starting to get weaker and weaker...we don't know the reason behind it."

"I'll do it. I'll put an end to Victor's treacherous ways. And I'll throw him into the dungeon and make him suffer!"

"S-samantha you've already aaawakened."

"Oh
