She was here. In my arms. Crying.
I carefully brushed her hair win my fingers, making sure I didn't hurt her.
Her tears were wetting my t-shirt, but I couldn't care less, the only thing I cared about was her and her broken heart.
She pulled away and I held her face in my hands. Her eyes were closed and the tears were running down her face. I softly asked, "what's wrong?" I brushed her tears away with my thumb, whishing they would stop falling.
She opened her eyes. They were so full of hurts and dissapointment. "Was it him?"
She nodded amd more tears escaped her eyes. I pulled her to my chest once more, and she started sobbing. I kissed her hair and kept repeating the same words all over again, "Don't worry. I'm here, I won't leave. I promise." And she knew I meant it, because that's what bestfriends do for each other. They stay. She spended the night at my house. I was sleeping in the floor, her in my bed.
He hurted her, broke her heart, but I was here, like it always has been. She knew that, but what she didn't know was how inportant she was to me. She was everything I had and I couldn't bring myself to picture a forever without her.
She suddely turned and faced me, her eyes wide and deep like oceans. And without even thinking, I let those words leave my lips, after years of keeping it in,
"I love you."///
