Alana POV:
I never would imagine my life the way it is right now. No friends, no family, nothing but memories of what use to be. I had an amazing life, a huge house, the perfect family, amazing friends, I had what every 14 year old girl wanted. The perfect life. But my perfect life was ruined after one fatal mistake.
It was Christmas Eve. My parents wanted to go to my brothers house just down the road from ours. I was tired; I told them to leave without me. My twin sister Ashley, my baby brother Noah, my mom and dad packed up as left. When they left all I could feel was pain. I knew something was wrong, but I ignored it.i climbed into my bed and fell into a restless sleep.
What felt like minutes later, I heard somebody pounding on the front door. I took off down the long spiral staircase and opened the door. I was greeted by an elderly man covered in blood. He told me to come fast. I took off after him as he sprinted down my gravel drive. He led me to a what looked like two mangled cars. One was blue, just like my dads. The top of the blue car was gone, glass was everywhere. The other car was in recognizable. I stood there in shock, looking at the damage and listening to the wailing sirens in the background.
Paramedics swarmed the scene. Each car had at least six paramedics. They were all yelling, stretchers were being taken everywhere. White bags being pulled and laid on the ground. White bags; body bags. I cried at the scene, praying that it wasn't my family. They continued pulling bodies from each car. Each person was covered in blood and cuts. Limbs hanging in different directions. There was a total of ten people. All bloody, all lifeless.
