Chapter 10: Wretched & Divine

"I...I don't know," I stumbled over my words still shocked from Jinxx's confession.

He sighed, "Don't worry about it. You and CC were made to be anyways I guess. Bye."

I sighed as he slumped his way to the door. I admit, I feel bad. I don't know what to do though.

"Hey," Jake called to Jinxx, "Where ya goin'?"

"Home," Jinxx mumbled in response.

Jake shot me a confused look but I just shrugged. I sat down and stared at the ground as Jinxx left. This is all my fault. Jake walked over to me but to avoiding questioning I ran out.

I ran outside as realized CC was my ride. I looked around, hopeful that Jinxx hadn't left yet. I reluctantly found him approaching his car.

"Jinxx!", I yelled out.

He turned and saw me, then kept walking. Ugh, why was he being so difficult? I ran to get to him before he got in the car.

"Jinxx wait," I yelled.

He turned sharply, "What?"

"I," I didn't know exactly how to word this, "I love you Jinxx. I always have. When I first got here you had Sandra and CC had no one. I wouldn't say I settled for CC, because I did like him, but I always liked you more."

He just stared at me. Did I say something wrong? Shit, I probably did. I began to turn, ready to leave when I felt him grab my wrist.

He turned me around, "No. Stay. Please? I'll give you a ride home."

We stared into each others' eyes for a brief moment before we heard a door open. I turned to see who it was. It was just Sandra. I turned back to Jinxx.

"Jinxx," I spoke softy, "I love you."

He continued to stare at me and talked quietly, "I love you too."

Suddenly we heard a, "What!?"

Shit. God dammit. Not again.
