Chapter 16

Ciera's POV

I decided to ride my bike to school today. Knowing how easily my emotions can be read, Dani and Ella would notice something's up. They would see me sitting at the corner staring out of the window suddenly I'll smile then it would fade away and then I'll smile again and they're going to think I've gone crazy and then I'll have to explain why I'm acting weird then.... hold up. I'm in the DOT zone again.

I probably am acting out what I was describing seeing that people were giving me weird glances. Ok Ciera. Relax. Everything's going to be fine. You'll get to school early and just hide a little right? I check my watch and panic. AHHH! I'm already 5 minutes late and I haven't gone half way to school.

I quickly cycled faster to school and i got there in just 2 minutes. I'm still late for school.

I quickly rush to my class yet managed to carefully open my classroom door. Luckily the teacher hadn't arrived yet. Phew. I'm safe.

I walk over to my seat and sit down quietly. I didn't get any weird stares from students so that's great. So far Dani, Ella and Ash aren't in my class so I'm still calm.

The teacher arrived and the class went on as usual.

The bell rang signaling that it was lunch time.

I gathered my things and headed to the cafeteria. So far no signs of Ash and the twins. I don't know if I want to face them yet though.

I don't know what my reaction will be when I see Ash again. Should I pretend like nothing happened or should I "Oomph" I said as I fell to the floor.

Ow. Pain. Butt. Ow. Stupid DOT zone. Making me not pay attention and fall to the ground.

"Oh Ciera. I'm so sorry. Are you alright?" Tom said

"I uh I'm f-fine" This guy still scares me 'cause he's so big

"Oh good. Sorry for making you fall" he replied while scratching the back of his neck

"Oh no no it's fine. I wasn't paying attention to where I was going" I laughed nervously as I stood up

"Let me pay for your lunch. To make it up to you."

"Uhm there really is no need to"

"No no. It's on me."

"Uhm o-ok." I guess

Tom payed for my lunch and sat beside me at the table where the twins, Ash and I usually sit.

A few moments later Ella arrived. Followed by Dani.

"Well hello cutie" Ella said to Tom

"Well hello gorgeous" he replied sending a wink to Ella. In return Ella giggled and leaned onto Tom.

A little later Jake arrived.

"Hey sweet cheeks" Jake winked at Dani

"Hey lover boy" Dani replied snuggling up to Jake.

Ok. What did I just witness here. What's with the nicknames and being sweet to eachother?

I decided to just ignore those exchange of words and carry on eating my sandwhich.

As I munched on my chicken sandwhich my mind wandered to feelings and future actions.

Like what would I say when Ash arrives at the table? How would I feel about the thing that happened at the park? How do I... "Ow!" I screamed. Luckily not too loud for the whole cafeteria to hear.
