Lost

Palms up face down I walked into the rain unprepared and ready to feel the pain

As the sun came out my palms were up with me face pointing above feeling wild and ready to break the rules letting others carry the weight on my shoulders, me gliding along

When clouds came over I shoed them away but then, came the rain

I forgot to fight

So I took flight

Ending up faraway from the sky

The sun

The clouds

And even the pouring rain

Landing hard on my knees on an island

Of darkness and shadows

Light not even hiding throughout the land

With me calling

Calling for the sun

But the sun with the key would not unlock the darkness

For he is high above the sky

Not worrying about lost girls

In the darkness down below

When he safe

And bright

And high

And not ever alone

So he doesn't need to care

About calling, crying girls

In the darkness down below
