"Come on Rouge, wake up, we're going to be late." My eyes jump open as I see my brother above me, his angled eyes and fangs contrast his plump cheeks. He has on the trench coat dad gave him before he disappeared. Wuru's jeans are torn in places for unknown reasons.
"Wuru, the festival isn't until tomorrow. We can sleep in."I sigh as I sit up and look around in my room. The door is still closed, but the window was shattered, presumably from Wuru's entry ( aka unkown reasons ). I roll over and check the calender, just to make sure I wasn't wrong. Today was the thirtyith day of Punahinga, meaning that the Festival Fanauraa ( festival of rebirth ) was tomorrow. I grab Wuru's hair and pushed his face into the calender "Can't you see that we can sleep, please go back to bed".
"But we need to practice for the tournament at the end of the Festival! This is the first year we can attend!" I can't believe it! I actually forgot that. Okay, So let me explain, when our kind hits ten, our "quirks" start to show themselves, and by age eighteen, we have enough control over them to battle in the tournament. Except for one thing... Wuru and I were born with our quirks already apparent. The Council of Elders decided we had control over our quirks by age 14 and allowed us into the tournament the year after, when we became fifteen.
This would probably be a good time to explain what our quirks are. Wuru and I can comunicate telepathically because we are twins, but there is more than that. Wuru can be a bit... Wolfish at times and me, well let's just say I love to watch things burn.
