Allison
How the fuck dare they? I'm gonna gut them. No, I'll peel their skin off in jagged strips, then rub salt in. Haaaaaa how delightful! Just thinking about gives me chills! They will pay. Things that don't understand the sacredness of food will be published. Pain, Torture, Screams of agony so profound that you can hear it from the depths of-
"Alli, stop. You can stop now, they're already dead."
And with that, it was as if a fog cleared. I blinked slowly. Looking around me, I saw I was kneeling in pools of blood. I was completely covered in it. The corpses were twisted beyond recognition. Just lifeless beings that no longer had purpose. And it was my fault.
In front of me was Lucas. His blood red eyes staring into me with sorrow as he tried to unclench my hand. I hadn't even realized I'd been holding on so hard, my fingernails had cut into my skin. Then I realized what he was trying to pry away. A knife. When did I get a knife? Detached, I scanned the scene in front of me with lifeless eyes.
The bodies. Oh god, the bodies.
No aspect of a human being could be found. Every limb was beyond mutilation. Stab marks and cuts decorated every body. After staring for so long, all the blood seemed like paint. Yes, of course it was paint. Blood could not be so plentiful. Yet I knew, oh I knew, no paint could be so perfectly horrific. So artful. So lovely. So honest. So-
*SLAP*
It stung. I stared in shock at Lucas, clutching my cheek. Then I realized. He knew I couldn't not break. Not now. Not after all the hells I've been in. This would not stop me.
Standing up took up all the strength I could muster. All my followers were staring at me in awe and reverence. No. That wasn't me. I wanted to scream that at them. Instead, I walked with my head held high, straight out of the room. Leaving Lucas to clean up the mess I made. As always.
Great. This will be the second time today I have to take a shower. And it's not even 12:00. What a waste.
When I was out of the mess hall and out of the hearing radius of anyone there, I collapsed. My back hit the cold cement wall with my knees curling into my chest, as if to seek warmth. Though, I had none to give. I knew I was smearing blood everywhere and Lucas would have to clean it up later, but I didn't care. That was part of the deal after all. Bitter, bitter thoughts, can usually never penetrate my brain, but I was shaken to the core.
The sad thing is, this wasn't the first time it has happened. Its actually something that had been getting really common lately. Its like something takes over my body and I blank out when something just, somehow, sets me off. I thought I'd been more on edge as of late, but this one caught me by surprise. Never would I have expected a gang as dimwitted as them to have figured at where we were staying.
And that was another problem that weighed heavily on my mind. If those idiots could piece it together, it wouldn't be long before the higher authorities and other gangs would start to take action. Hell, even without that hint, the fact that those fuckers earlier made such a large display when they entered would be enough to draw attention from everyone in a ten mile radius.
Shit. That's all could think as I kept my head in my knees.
A soft touch barely brushed my shoulder before I was up and whipping a knife out. How ironic.
"Idiot, go take a shower. You stink. And don't pull that knife out for a while til' things cool down. Also," Lucas hesitated before continuing, looking unsure. " don't use your ability for a while." A protest immediately went to my lips but before I could utter a word, he cut me off.
