summary
Half-glass full and cynical Calista Dames can sketch out her life in a series of plans, predictions and preparations. She's the girl who knows what she's doing and where she's going, the girl with all the questions answered, the girl with a foundation and a structure of her whole life because she has it all figured out. But when she meets Flynn, a brown-eyed Dutch-Indian boy with a thousand-year-old soul, everything around her comes crashing down.
And nothing is ever the same ever again.
AUTHOR'S NOTE
what's up, everybody! The Mile High Club is finally back here!
so this is a spin-off on The Girl Who Saw Through Jem, based on Calista and it's mostly centred what happen after high school, focusing on themes of self-discovery and the phase between high-school to college and the change you make from being with your family and depending on them to figuring yourself on your own. i've been planning since the beginning of last year and i've always known that i want to make a story out of calista, simply because she's so different from Ellis and such a huge diversity from TGWSTJ. this is more personal since i am more like calista and the existential questions posed in this book stems from me and what i'm currently going through.
the mile high club is a more 'you book', more centred on a person as a person, trying to figure out what you want and identity, rather than romance, relationships and other people like in TGWSTJ.
i will released the full chapters when TGWSTJ's edited chapters are finally posted. And you don't have to read TGWSTJ in order to understand the mile high club though it would probs be better since it does make references to what happens in TGWSTJ so you might want to read it in order to gain better clarity. there are also many, many people from tgwstj that makes an appearance in this book (even people that didn't seem to play such a major role in tgwstj e.g flyn ;) ;) )
anyway, i hope that you'll enjoy The Mile High Club just as much as you enjoyed all the others.
