Chapter One - The First Day

KAYLA'S P.O.V.
It's Monday on my fifth week of high school, I've only just gotten used to the school and it's 4th period, I have TAS, at the moment I'm doing computers, I find it quite boring because most of my friends are in a different classes. I'm there waiting outside if the classroom waiting for the teacher to come, with Mahalia, she's the only one I know, buts she's kind of... Well... Weird.

Then I hear noise, I know it's the boys, but there was also an unfamiliar voice... I wondered who is was, then they all came up the stairs. The boy in front who was definitely the one that I could hear because he was still talking. I looked at him and he looked at me, he had brown eyes and the perfect shade of brown hair, with a brown beanie and his fringe hanging out on the side, with a RVCA branded bag. We both look away, I could tell he was popular, he had all the other boys crowded around him.

After a little while the teacher comes in, Mr Cawley, he unlocks the door then we all crowd in, I sit at the computer closest to the door, not in any particular reason. He fights over the computer at the end if the table, and tells Henry to find another table, I bite my lip to not laugh.

I was sitting next to Anna, we were kind of close, we met last year when she was playing football on my front lawn with her brother and my brother. When Mr Cawley wasn't talking I was either doing my work or staring at that boy, then it struck on me, I didn't know his name. So I decided to ask Anna

"Hey Anna, who's that new boy?" I whisper to her

"I don't know, never seen him before." She answers as she goes back to her work

"Ethan! Ethan! Ethan!" I hear Mike (who was also in our class) shout out at the boy. I try to evesdrop on their conversation but it was hard because of how far away I was from them.

The bell rings and we all leave, I go straight to the canteen to order my lunch, I realised that he was already at the start of the line talking to some other people in our year.

After a lunch we went to class, we had science, the teacher doesn't really care what we do, he just lets us sit there and talk as long as we copied the 2 lines off the whiteboard. I pulled my friend Gemma aside, Gemma and I starting to get quite close so I knew I could trust her

"Hey do you know that Ethan guy? I'm pretty sure he's in 7e?" I ask

"Oh yeah, I've heard Cate talk of him, why what's up?"

"Just saw him round in TAS, didn't recognise him, nothing much. We should probably get back to Sarah and Wendy" (Sarah and Wendy were the two people we were sitting next to)

When I got home, I decided to text on Gemma on snapchat

"Hey" I texted, just wondering if she was on her phone or not

"Hi!" She texted back straight away

"Umm, you know how I asked about that Ethan in science?"

"Yeah, what's up?"

"Can you tell me a bit about him?"

"Ahh, can I get back to you on that later, I'll ask Cate for you"

"Okay, thanks"

"Hey,I'm really sorry,but I have to go, I'll talk to you tomorrow at school ok"

"Okay byee xx"

"Bye xx"
