Prologue

I woke up with a bolt when I heard the witch knocking at my door.

"Buksan mo ang pinto! bumaba ka na!" instead of following her, I walked inside my closet and grabbed everything I'll need.

I didn't bother changing my clothes. It would just slow me down from my plans.

I heard a click on my door. the witch found a key, great.

Bago niya pa mabuksan ang pinto at isumbong ako kay Papa, I jumped outside my veranda and balanced myself on a branch.

as soon as I got down, I wore my sneakers and pulled on a cap to hide my messy hair. Sinabit ko ang aking backpack sa kabilang braso bago tumakbo papunta sa pader na naghihiwalay sa'kin sa mga kapitbahay.

I climbed up in a tree where its branches brushes the top of the wall and leaped outside our house's 'borders'.

"about time," I saw venus standing infront of me and was holding a cup of coffee. 

"Good Morning," I smiled.

"Let's eat muna," she said before entering their house. I followed.

We sat facing each other. maraming pagkain ang nakahanda. at may isa pang bakanteng upuan.

"Mercury! Let's eat, " Venus's loud voice echoed. Sanay na ako 'jan.

Not long enough, I heard footsteps entering the house, I risked a glance over my shoulder and met his gaze. My heart skipped a beat.

With his Jersey that is almost wet from his own sweat, and his messy hair, he's still the most beautiful boy I've ever met. Hot, even.

I can't believe I just said that! What the hell!

"Oy, Ven. Why so silent?" I snapped back to reality.

"wala, it's just the witch."

"Sino? si Tina?" she gave me a playful grin

"yep. Lagi nalang akong pinag iinitan. Ewan ko nga kung bakit nasa bahay pa 'yun."

She chuckled, "You're such a rebel."

I grinned. Well, si Tina ay mas matanda sa akin ng pitong taon. Personal Assistant siya ni Mama and every saturday ay nasa bahay lang siya para bantayan ako. Ewan ko ba kay Papa at napaka strikto niya sakin. I'm turning 18!

I took a glance on Venus's side where he's seated. Ang tahimik niya ata.

Pinagamit ako ni Venus sa banyo niya para dun ako maligo. As for my clothes, may mga damit  ako dito sa Closet niya kaya yun nalang ang sinuot ko.

Lumabas ako sa kwarto niya Habang nagpapatuyo ako ng buhok ko gamit ang towel nang bigla akong nakabunggo ng pader, "ay Put--"

"watch it," his voice boomed aroung the hallway.

I just shrugged and walked away from him. Nek-nek niya.

Huli akong nakarating sa garage nila. Naabutan ko si Venus na nakahiga sa backseat na may yakap-yakap pang malaking unan. She occupied the whole seat, which left me with the shotgun seat.

"sa shotgun ka, Bitch," Venus mumbled and got back to sleep.

Shit. No choice ako nito.

"Bilis na," He said urgently. He didn't even bother to look at me from the driver's seat.

Shet.

I pulled off my poker face and sat on the shotgun seat.

My eyes wander around the dashboard for distraction and saw his school ID hanging on it.

Mercury

I reached for my earphones and slept.
