A/N: This is going to start off like the episode 'Jail Break' but it 's going to be different after.

Lapis' POV

I sigh and sit against the wall of my cell. How could I have been so foolish? Hearing footsteps thunder down the metal hallway, I resist the urge to look around.

"Lapis!" I hear a familiar voice shout.

Steven. Sighing, I turned to face him.

"Lapis, I can get you out," he says.

A feeling of anger bubbled inside of me. I've never felt this before, yet it wasn't a strong feeling.

"Stop!" I say in fear of him hurting himself.

It wasn't just that though I wanted to be here. I was foolish enough to get into this situation so I needed to get out of it myself.

"It's okay. I can-" He says before I cut him off.

"No! I don't want your help. Things are bad enough as it is. I've already made too much trouble. Once we get back to they're going to decide what to do with us," I exclaim.

I hear another gem shouting, but I'm not able to make out what they are saying. My senses seem to be weakening along with my body. He says something else which I can't make out. I just turn away and rest my head against the wall. I only just hear his footsteps walk off. Maybe if I just did what they wanted, they wouldn't attack us anymore?

A few minutes later, another pair of footsteps makes their way towards me. Probably just Steven, I thought. My hearing seemed to be coming back to me.

"'Go to earth,' they said. 'It'll be easy,' they said," a voice could be heard grumbling, but I wasn't sure who it was.

I hear the steps abruptly stop when they get close to me. I hide my head in my hands, scared and more importantly worried about what they were going to do with me. I needed to get away, quickly. I forced myself to stand up and turn around. Peridot. My legs we shaking violently, but I tried to keep my group. She seemed to be shocked and in her eyes a hint of sadness was there. Peridot seemed to be doing something on her tablet. What though? The field in front of me immediately shut down and I looked towards her, confused.

"W-what are you doing?" I managed to stutter out.

Rolling her eyes, she replied,"What do you think I'm doing? I'm setting you free."

She grabbed my arm and dragged me through the hallways. Her eyes were full of regret as we continued down the cold hallway.

"Listen, Lazuli, I'm doing this because... because... well. I don't know! It just feels like the right thing to do!" she says.

Her voice rises, but she flinches. Something was different about her, she's never acted like this. Especially around a prisoner. I try to figure out why she's doing this, but her face is not visible from my view. A few tears formed, I deserved to be here. I tried to rip my arm from her grasp, but she had a tight hold on me.

"Do you want to escape or not?" she snarled.

I flinched at the sudden change in her emotions. She pushed me into a different cell, yet it wasn't a cell. It soon changed into a pod and I was shot down to earth. I pressed my hands against the back wall of the pod wanting to get out. I shoved my whole body against the pod, trying to get out. I tried one last time before giving up. Why did she let me free?

Before I knew it, I was on earth. I quickly got out of the pod as soon as I could. It was stuffy, but I was more worried about being caught again. I looked up to see the ship come crashing down to earth. I tried to dash out of the way, but rubble was falling too quickly. Before I knew it, I was pinned down by part of the ship. I laid there, my head pounding. Hearing shouting, I tried to force the metal off of my body. It seemed that I had more energy than I thought. I stumbled out from underneath the rubble and I looked up at the scene in front of me. Jasper and the Crystal Gems fighting again. I tried my best to keep hidden and I make my way around the perimeter of the brawl. I didn't want to be involved at all.

Then her eyes landed on me. I froze in place, trying to figure out how I was going to escape. Ducking behind some waste, I hoped her focus was on the Crystal Gems. I heard them shouting about how Jasper would be back and not be beaten. I let out a sigh of relief andtried to make my way around the rubble and try to find somewhere safe to live. I sighed and guessed that the remaining beach would be best. I sat down looking out at the sea. Why did Peridot save me? Did she know this was going to happen?
