Mia looks through the photo albums on the kitchen table as Austin cooks dinner. She flips the page and a small envelope falls out. Picking it up, she opens the envelope and takes the content out and discovers a piece of letter. Unfolding it, she reads it and laughs.
"What are you laughing about over there?" Austin asks as he mixes the soup on the stove.
"Do you remember that letter you gave to me when we were juniors?" She holds up the letter.
"No, what does it say?" He turns the stove off and walks over to the table and sits next to Mia.
"Dear Mia, I was wondering if you would like to go to prom with me. I know that we've never really talked before but I thought it would be fun if we went together as prom buddies or whatever. If that's alright with you, can you text 07-602-####. I would appreciate it if you can give me an answer by wednesday, so like in two weeks. Thanks! From Austin" She hands the letter to Austin and he takes it and studies the letter.
"That was three years ago! How do you still have this? I thought you threw it away right after you read it." He laughs as he tosses the letter on the table.
