How are you doing? And I genuinely want to know. Not like most people these days. Don't you just hate it? You pass someone on the street and they say, "Hey, How are you?" And you say "Good, How are you?" It's called common curtesy. However, you could respond with anything; good, awful, okay, fuck off bitch...they don't care.
They don't care about you. They care about getting to where they have to go and being there when they have to be there. This may be 2015, and we may have come a long way, but let's face it...we suck.
We need to start being better people. Nicer. And not just common curtesy. Next time you see someone, walking down the street, stop them. Say, "Hello, My name is _______. How are you? And I genuinely want to know." 9/10 times they will tell you, and you two will sit on a bench some where and discuss life. You will exchange phone numbers or emails, and that person will go on to have a better day. So will you. Because you will both have gained a new friend, and a whole new person to figure out. Maybe, you'll even fall in love. Trust me, try it. You may be surprised.
