The nightmaers

* Hey guys I'm so sorry that I haven't be posting I really love you guys be I had a lot of tests for the first quarter of school and my iPad I hate it sometimes be now it's working and I'm on break so you will get a lot of chapters if my iPad is good thanks*

A/N: so as I said this is were Shikamau and Naruto brake up sorry they will stay best friends also were the the words are in italics Shikamau is think that and again if it's underlined is Sasuke*

    Over the next month Naruto got much better with the help of his best friend of course. They had each other and that was enough. Naruto felt good good with Shikamau he was solid and strong and warm you get the point. Shikamau inturn was happier than he had ever been except for one thing... The nightmares.

*Flashback*
"This is like that day" Naruto said looking up "What do you mean?" Shikamau had been munching on pocky all day "Remember that he left, it had been raining that day too." Naruto said calculating the dark clouds above them. He cuddled closer to Shikamau under the umbrella "oh" Shikamau put the snack away. "Yeah 'ho' is right" Naruto smiled it was a little sad but still a real smile. "Shikamau?"
"Yeah what "
"can I sleep at your place tonight"
"yeah all have to ask my mom but she and dad are going to be gone till 4 PM so of course." Shikamau give him a big smile "K thanks I'll go home and pack" Naruto started to walk away "K see you tonight"^_^ as Naruto ran off Naruto thought about what happened that day how Sasuke had almost killed him And how he had gone dead being in his apartment alone of how long he didn't know but he had got sick in those months. As he got to his house he got out his back pack "let's pack" he said to his backpack and rolled up his sleeves.

*Shikamau's house*
"Hey mom I'm home." Shikamau said as he took off his shoes "Shikamau!" His mom appeared in front of him she looked murderous. "Where were you, have to tell us where you're going and when you'll be back you know this!" She looked at him and huffed then she turned away. "Wait! Mom can I have a friend over tonight?" Shikamau looked hopeful "What friend?"
"Naruto" he said truthfully "Why have the fox!"
"Mom he's my friend and I want to have them over."
"your father and I will be gone all night." His mom said going back to the kitchen to cook dinner for the party Shikamau followed. "Oh come on mom please."
"Okay just stop whining"
"yes!" Shikamau said "oh and mom I'm 13 I don't need to tell you everything about my life." he said looking defiant "yes you do" his mom said still cooking.

Back to Naruto
Naruto was finally packed and 3 feet away from Shikamau's when he heard a familiar voice called his name. "Naruto hey Naruto." He turned to see Sakura running up to him "I didn't know you at the hospital why didn't you tell me?" "Oh sorry Sakura I guess I didn't think about it." Naruto looked away with a hand on his head. "You didn't think I would like to know." Her fist clenched "no no that's not it I guess I just been so busy and "Naruto held his hands up for defense "with what?" Sakura dropped her fist in the confused " Shikamau" Naruto pointed to the house 2 feet away. Sakura raised eyebrows "Shikamau?"
"Yes why is that surprising?" He looked at her
"are you two dating?" then Sakura blushed "oh... Well... Yes" Naruto hung his head in defeat "oh my gosh I didn't tell me next time"
"okay." "Naruto " they heard a voice behind them Naruto knew exactly who it was and he turned around "Shikamau"
"what are you doing just standing there?"
Naruto pointed it Sakura to answer his question. "Hey" "hello Shikamau" Sakura said in a sweet and seductive voice "oh dear God don't ever do that again please" Narutos eyes were big and indignation "fine" Sakura skipped away "well that was rude she didn't say goodbye." Shikamau walked up the Naruto "that's Sakura" Naruto kissed him quickly " let's eat" Shikamau lead them inside.
*End flashback*

"SASUKE" Shikamau bolted out of bed he ran to spear room Naruto was sitting up in bed. "Damn" he bolted to Naruto side. "Naruto?" his eyes are blank. "No not again" Shikamau sat there useless than he had an idea I talked him out of it before why not now I need to calm down. "Naruto he's not gone forever you can save him." Naruto didn't move "NO" Shikamau tried again and again but nothing works "no no this can't happen again" he was so mad at Sasuke that he could have jumped kicked him through a window. He looked down at Naruto that's when he noticed that drops on the sheets. He touched his face surprised to find tears their angry tears rolling down his face. Okay okay calm down Shikamau you can do this he had a idea but he hated this idea so much he was close to leaving Naruto. If I do this then I'll know how he really feels and I might break up with him I don't want to damn then he crawled into bed with Naruto and cradled him in his arms then he said the words that he hated the ends of the earth. "It's okay I'm here Sasukes here" Shikamau closed his eyes "mmmm Sasuke I love you I love you so much" Narutos words cut so deep Shikamau couldn't help but cry I'll tell him in the morning Shikamau thought then he looked down at Naruto. Then Naruto cuddled closer to him and buried his head in Shikamaus shirt he smiled. "Oh Naruto I'm sorry" Shikamau closed his eyes and went to sleep. Yes he truly hated the nightmares.
