"Wake up!!" I stumbled out of my resting place and walked into the main hall. My parents were standing near the entryway- a VERY forbidden place. "Why'd you wake me up so early?" I demanded. The look of worry on my parents face told me something happened.
You see, we are a species called Enderman. We are dark, tall creatures with long arms and glowing purple eyes. We can teleport; and Enderman also help the great Enderdragon with his duties. The whole pack of an acre stays in one area. There are leaders who help find and deal with possible threats or humans. My parents are the leaders of our pack. I am lucky- due to my parent's position I never have to go out and hunt or fight. My life is pretty good here, except for the fact I am different than all the other Endermen. I have very pale grey skin- ash grey. I am short and have some type of soft stuff on the top of my head. My parents say I'm just a defect in the system, but that's hard to believe. Defects never happen.
My parents looked at me. "A new threat has come upon us." I inhaled sharply. "A new human has entered our land." they told me. "He has come with more force than any other inhabitants in this world. This human has killed 15 of our men in the past 3 hours!!" My father shouted. Humans never come to our land. Sure- there are still lots of humans in our world, but they never come close to killing one of us. I was worried. "Suddenly, a scout ran to my father. "si-sir we've spotted the human running through the village of Ender." The village of Ender was an area influenced by our kind. The villagers there somehow now look like us, a mystery I still haven't figured out. "If he gets close to the stronghold, we will all be discovered!!!!!!!!!!!!" the scout wailed. I started to run to my room. I better get ready to flee.
