Chapter 48

1 month later

It's been a month and a few weeks since Luke and I started dating. Things were getting way better. The Fam were accepting for who I was and most of them don't hate on me anymore.

Calum and Angelina were officially dating which was a big relief since they did get into a big fight about them being a couple and about the hate that was going to be thrown to Angelina.

Michael actually found a girl. A very pretty one too. She had long blue hair and light brown eyes. She was a tiny bit taller than me and her style was exactly like mine. She was super nice and funny. She was exactly like Michael too. If they weren't crushing on each other, they would be twins, I swear. Her name is Ivory.

Ashton broke up with Eva after he found out. I told him he didn't have to, but he told me that she has been going out a lot and he found her sleeping with this guy. Even though he lost Eva, he has been eyeing out at someone special. I don't know who she is, but all he told me was that her name is Aria.

I was happy until.. This month.

Flashback to yesterday~

"Hey mom!!" I called.

"Yes, sweetie? I am sorta busy helping your dad pack right now!" She yelled.

Yep, my dad is taking another work trip. He literally just got back from a trip last month!! It truly isn't fair at all.

My dad was off to get another suitcase since his things won't fit in the original one. Apparently, he told me this was going to be a very long trip.

"Ugh!! Don't do it!!" I groaned. "I don't want him to go!!"

"He has to, sweetie!!" My mom groaned as well. "I don't want him to go too"

My mom came in to view and gave me small-smile. She came next to me with her tied up, a coral pink shirt, and dark blue jeans. She took a seat next to me and wrapped her arm around my shoulders.

"We will survive another 5 months without him" she told me.

"5 months?!" I practically shouted. "It was 3 last time!! I can't survive for 5 months"

"I know.. But we won't be able to have food on our plate if he doesn't go" she said sadly.

I wrapped my arms around my mom and sighed. Suddenly, the door opened. The door revealed that it was my dad. He smiled and I ran up to him to hug him.

"How could you do this to me?" I whispered into his ear.

"I'm sorry.. But it's for work" he muttered, letting go of me. "I don't want to go. Trust me"

He gave me a small-smile and kissed my forehead before brushing past me so he could finish packing. I sighed an went back to the couch to wept.

Few hours later~

8:38 PM

I gave one last hug to my dad and closed my trunk. We were at the airport , saying goodbye to my dad one last time. The next time I will see him is in 5 months.

I started tearing up and waved.

"I love you" I mouthed to him as he walked to the entrance of the airport.

He blew me a kiss and mouthed the same words until he disappeared into the crowd where other families were being departured.

"Come on" my mom muttered, trying to hold back her tears. "Let's go home".

I nodded and head back in to the car. I watched the airport get smaller and smaller as we drove in the silence of a dark night.

12:07 AM

I woke up to the sobbing in my mom's room. Why would she sob so loud? I looked at my clock and groaned. I got up to check up on her.

I slightly opened my mom's bedroom door. She was sobbing. Her eyes were puffy and she was holding a tissue. She was sitting on the bed with her nightgown on and her hair was a mess. Light brighten up her face and I looked to my left to see the TV on.

"Mom?" I asked, opening the door more.

"Sweetie.. Come here.." She beckoned me.

"What's wrong? Is everything okay?" I questioned worryingly.

"Just.. Come here" she patted the seat next to her.

I nodded and came next to her. I looked at the TV and I widened my eyes. My eyes started to tear up.

"This.. No, it can't be.." I broke down. "That's not him!! That can't be his plane"

My mom wrapped her arms around me. Tears spilled out of my eyes. I put my hand over my mouth, completely shocked.

There on the screen, was a plane in flames. The title said "Hijacked plane in flames in Thailand. Passengers all dead"

My dad was going to Thailand to stay there for a day then go to the U.S. for the rest of his trip. I sobbed into my mother's arms.

"He can't- He can't be dead" I sobbed.

My mom didn't say anything, but sob into my arms as well. I kept saying "Nope, he's alive. He's in Thailand, happy", but I know that's not true.

All I remember is crying on my mother's bed before falling fast asleep.
