Chapter 2

Kai's POV

I awoke with my alarm ringing through my ears. I look at the time. I felt a rush of fear run through my whole body. I only have 35 minutes till I start working. I got up and ran to the bathroom while telling myself too not take long.

I grab my keys and left like speedy Gonzales! Wait, who's that again? I shrugged it off while still running towards my work. I've been told that being late was no trouble but since the new guy is coming today, I have to make a good impression. Running was all in my mind. I look at my phone. I still have about 15 minutes. I turn the corner but when I did, I bumped into someone. Since I was running really fast, there was still force that not even I knew I had. Just when the boy was about to hit the ground, I grabbed his arm and pulled him to my embrace. I felt stares at us but I didn't bother to even look. I unbraced the boy while looking at his face. I smiled only to get a kick to my leg.

"Watch where you are going you peasant! You nearly killed me!" I look at the boy.

"You're welcome by the way. Plus, you weren't even closed to the road. Not my fault you short, you midget." I start to walk away from him. Just when I was about an inch or two away from him, for some weird reason, I heard a snap behind me. I look behind me only to see the boy turning around slowly. He took one step making me scared as hell. That was my cue to run for my dear life, so I did. Running through the crowd while not even looking back was all in my mind. I knew better to look back. I start picking up my speed, cause I am not dying yet! I could see the building making me stay calm for some reason. I still ran for my dear life. I busted through the doors and ran to the elevator. I start pressing the floor number I need to go. In the corner of my eye I see him walking through the doors all calm. Like he didn't run at all. The door start closing and just when the elevator doors were about to close completely, I made contact with him. For a moment I felt sparks. Sparks? Probably of fear of dying...

I go to my office with a tired look on my face. I start walking towards my office when my name was called behind me. I turn and see my friend, Kana. A bright smile on her face. While me? A poker face on. Actually no. I was covered in sweat and my hair was on all places. Kana seemed to see in the situation I was in.

"Whoa dude? What happened to you? You look...amazing?" I chuckled.

"Being late and being chased by a satan is very terrifying. Don't you think?" She looked at me like I just grew two heads.

"Kai...*whispers* are you doing drugs?" I just glared at her.

"No! You know I don't do that! Look, what I'm saying is true. I'm going to my office, bye." I wave at her and head to my office.

"Honey, it's the other way..." I turn around and start walking in that direction.

"I knew that!" She just smiles.

I close my office door and start spinning on my chair. Since the Yixing case is no use of solving, I start other cases. To busy in the case that I didn't even hear the knock on my door. What snapped me out of my thoughts was that Sehun slammed his hands on my desk making it rattle. I look up at him with a questionable look. He just sighs and starts walking to the door with a poker face on his face.

"Suho and the new newbie are waiting for you at Suho's office. I would run if I were you. They've been waiting for 12 minutes, just saying." After that. I got up and ran to his office. Suho gets really mad if you leave him waiting. Not a good way to talk to him. I stop in front of his office and fixed myself. I opened the office door only to see...SATAN?!

Sehun's POV

I looked at the case that my cousin is trying to figure out. This case is useless!

"Hey Sehun!" I look up to see SeLa. I can't believe that this, human being can be so...so...beautiful! BUT A DAMN DEMON!!!!

"Yea demon? Want something?" I looked at the file I was reading. This is just like the Junmyeon case.

"That's no way to treat your noona, you bubble tea prince" I glared at her. She just smirked at me.

"What do you want?" She chuckled and squat in front of me. Not in the way -_-

"Just wanted to say that your one hour early! Just saying tho! Hope you have a great day!", her smile disappeared and a glare was replaced instead ," hope you break a leg, also, you don't have very much time" she got up while still halting at me and left. What? Don't have very much time? No! Don't tell me that?! I shot up. She didn't did she?! I ran towards the elevator. She wouldn't have?! I ran out of the elevator while panicking.

Almost there! I rammed into the doors, a smile appearing. I speed walked towards the cashier while panting non stop. The cashier looked at me while judging me. I, on the other hand, placed my order.

"A Chocolate bubble tea? Is that all sir?" I nod and he smiles. I swear I felt butterfly's in my stomach. I looked at his name tag, Han Lu? Chinese? Quite the looker if you ask me. I was about to ask for his number when I saw SeLa on the floor, laughing?

"Oh my god! I can't believe you believed me! How many times do I have to tell that I love taro bubble tea?! HAHAHA!!! I can't even!" I glared at her. I forgot about that! Dammit! I look at the employer. A smile was plastered across his face. My mind went blank and I felt shock waves through my body.

Again, I was about to ask the boy for his number when my phone started ringing. Groaning I answered while looking at the boy. Laughter was still heard around the cafe store. SeLa was still in the ground. *Sigh*

"Hello?" I answered with a bored tone. I swear, I almost dropped my phone out of my hand.

"SEHUN GET OVER HERE!!! YOUR COUSIN AND THE NEW COMER ARE ON THE FLOOR, HAVING A SISSY FIGHT!! HELP!!" I could here a 'Hey!' In the background. I stifled a laugh.

"I'm coming, after I get my boba tea, thank you very much!" Just when I was about to hang up, Suho yelled, well more liked screamed.

"NO!! COME RIGHT NOW!!! SATAN AND LUCIFER ARE ABOUT TO KILL ME!!! HELP!!" Panic was in his voice. I sigh.

"I'm coming, just let me get my boba tea" I hanged up before he could scream more. I grab my bubble tea and say my farewells. I never got the boys phone number tho (T ^ T)

Kai's POV
(Before Suho finds them)

He glared at me while I glared back at him.

"What are you doing here?" Venom in his voice.

"What are you doing here?" I smirked at him while he glared at him.

"I asked you first" he crossed his arms and smirked at me.

"I asked you second" If his glares could killed, I would be dead by now! Next thing I know, there's an object coming towards me. I dodged it. A shattered cup of glass laid on the floor. I shivered. Ah shit, I'm going to die! Next thing I know, I was in the floor, pinning the satan himself. I started panicking when I saw the door creak open, I knew I was dead.
