JAKE'S POV

After that whole singing thing at Applebee's, we went back to our house. We watched a few more movies, mostly A Nightmare On Elm Street, since they were Chuppy's favorites. Alex was terrified. She buried her face into Andy's neck when the gorey parts came, that made me jealous. She should be burying her head into MY neck, not Andy's.

I'm in love with Alex, I admit it. I wish I knew how she felt about me. What if she doesn't like me back? I'll probably never know, I hope I can build up the courage to ask her soon. My thoughts were interrupted by Ashley.

"Earth to Jake!" He yelled, waving his hand in front of my face.

"Hi." I said, looking at the blank tv screen.

"Dude! You zoned out! You missed the ending of the movie!"Chuppy yelled, snapping his fingers. "Man, Freddy started to-" he was cut off by Alex.

"Um, please, d-don't talk about it." She said, taking her head out of Andy's hair. She looked terrified. If she has nightmares tonight, I want to be there to hold her, to comfort her. Again, I was interrupted out of my thoughts by Ashley.

"DUDE!!" He yelled, shaking me.

"Hi" I said, looking at him. He looked at me like I was nuts.

"How many times are you going to space out?" He asked me and I shrugged.

"I like to think." I stated, going to my room. I heard them snicker and Andy say  "Well, that's the first." I flipped him off. The snickers died down quickly.

Later on that night, after everyone went to bed, I stayed up. After I made sure everyone was asleep, I snuck into Alex's room. I slipped under the covers and wrapped my arms around her. I kissed her forehead. "Sweet dreams,sweetheart." I whispered in her ear.
