~Chapter 1~

Arian's P.O.V

Arian woke up and smiled. Only one week before her eighteenth birthday! She was so excited. In her kingdom, when someone turned eighteen, they gained a responsibility. They were able to go out on their own and, for her, earn the title of princess. As the daughter of Steven the Loyal and Merida the Queen, she has an obligation to live in a cottage in the wood for a week before her eighteenth birthday, like her father did, before where he cursed the evil Aura with a spell to never let her leave the witches mountain. She finishes packing and then runs to hur father to say her goodbyes

Fallon's P.O.V.

He knew today was the day he had dreaded for the past seventeen years. The day Arian leaves the castle. Ever since Arthur the warlock wanted him to be king, he forced Fallon to betray his one true love Aura. He of course knows now that he is brainwashed, but he still thinks he loves Merida and that Aura deserved what she got even though she didn't. Fallon looked to the witches' mount when a knock at the door is heard. His excited looking daughter walks in his study. Arian says, "Dad I just wanted to say goodbye before I head off to the mountain." Fallon turns around and just stared at her and compared the girl who ran around the halls with a witches hat on to the grown up lady standing in front of him. Fallon steps forward and pulls her into a hug. Arian leaves the hug first but Fallon asks," Are you going to say goodbye to your mother?" Arian responds with a simple,"No." Before he could respond she was out the door with her things.

Arian's P.O.V.

She ran out the door with her things and straight to the trail that lead to the mountain. She found the area where her father camped his first time and she settled in for the week to come. Arian got up and started out looking for food to find a apple tree nearby and a river where she caught fish and had the best meal because she found the food by herself
