It was a sad day in the Hidden Rain Village.

The news of their leader Pain passing had dulled the atmosphere of the small village, the rain that usually held a very peaceful and comforting quality now carrying a depressing burden, each drop signifying the tears of the villagers.

It wasn't all that bad though, as a young redheaded girl was walking down the streets showing everyone who seemed upset a beaming smile. Nagato wouldn't want the village he loved so much in such a depressed state. He wanted peace, for his villagers to be happy.

That young girl was now officially the leader. Pain's legacy was what she had been introduced as. Konan had introduced her formally earlier that day, and most villagers agreed with Pain's decision, seeing a spark in the girl. But some people had complaints. Those people were told to speak with Konan privately.

Usagi didn't know what Konan had told them, but they weren't complaining afterwards.

Konan had been putting all her effort into teaching Usagi to be a leader. It was quite easy to teach her, as she only needed to see or hear something once to remember it.

For days Usagi trained, not only learning to become as great a leader Nagato had been, but to become even more powerful than he had been.

Usagi had been beaten in battle a number of times now, it was about time she got serious. Since she was a child, she had aspired to become as great a ninja as her dad, Kakashi. He was a natural leader, easy-going, calm, and a quick thinker. He was strong too. He might not have been the best father, but he was a damn good leader and teacher.

If Usagi was to be like him, she needed to get her head on the right way. No more sulking or being depressed, no more being selfish and immature. She had been blessed with a voice, and no matter how childish and awkward it was, she needed to use it.

A knock sounded on the front door of Pain's tower. Instead of having an office like what was seen in most Hidden Villages, Pain had had an entire tower.

Usagi walked to the front door, opening it.

Two men stood outside, bowing as the saw the young girl. "Lady Usagi, we would like to have a word about the education system if you have time."

Lady Usagi... it would take a while for her to get used to being called that.

"Oh, sure..." Usagi stepped back. Konan had told her this would happen, people would begin asking for requests and sharing wishes they had, it was her duty now to listen to them all and to make this small village just as great the others that were ten times its size.

The education system, which was practically non-existent in Ame, was a great place to start.

"You still haven't tracked her?" Danzo let out a sigh as he stared at the ANBU in front of him, disappointment clear in his harsh expression. "Don't tell me you haven't located Kabuto or Sasuke either."

He was about to set off for the Hokage summit, having a short meet with his ANBU before leaving the ruins that were the Leaf.

"I'm sorry, Sir." The ANBU apologized.

"Tch," His old face contorted into a frown. "Let's just go. I'll have someone else search for them."

What could Danzo possibly want with Kabuto, Sasuke, and Usagi?

Well, he wanted Usagi's rinnegan, that much was clear, but now he more so wanted her dead. It could be assumed he was also after Sasuke's eyes too, much like Orochimaru had been...

But what did Danzo need from Kabuto?

The answer was simple. He needed to know what Kabuto knew about him.

You see, in order to protect the village Danzo called home, he had done a number of things the public would view as evil.

Stealing the sharingan of many Uchiha was one sin, and working with Orochimaru was another.

He wasn't a good man by any means, but he was a leader. He would never let a foolish thing like emotions get in his way, he would always do whatever he needed to do in order to protect his village.

The title of Hokage... it was one he had earned.

Danzo made his way to the Kage summit, grinning to himself.

Yes, it was a title he had earned indeed.

AN/ Lol I'm sitting at my laptop with glad wrap (or saran wrap or plastic wrap) over my head 'cause I did some mask thing, and I have egg dripping down my face as I type this now. Just thought I'd share that with you all.

So Danzo is still a prick. But we all knew that didn't we?
